A Moroccan Experience to Remember!
My young adult children and I made the best decision of our lives by planning a trip to Morocco this spring. Since it was our first time there, we decided to spend the first four days exploring Marrakech. We visited the city, experienced a Hammam at our beautiful Riad in the Medina, and wandered through the bustling souks. A friend suggested that a desert tour was essential for a complete Moroccan experience, and CamelSafaries was highly recommended. Although we only had time for a two-night, three-day desert tour, it was absolutely worth it! Ali from CAMEL SAFARIES help to plan the trip before our arrival, providing us with detailed descriptions of the two options we were considering and made the reservations incredibly easy. Our tour guide, Nordine, was an absolute delight. He shared fascinating insights into the culture, geology, and the various regions we drove through. The breathtaking scenery of the Atlas Mountains was a sight to behold, and we learned about the Berber culture, the history of the casbahs, and much more. Our final leg to the desert took us to Gapsi Riad, a charming hilltop accommodation with a beautiful veranda overlooking the mesmerizing monkey rocks. It was also the best breakfast we had on the entire trip! The weather was perfect for our camel rides to the dunes, where we witnessed a stunning sunset, a delicious dinner, and a spectacular sunrise. Nordine answered all our many questions about Morocco and gave us the freedom to make stops and ensure we made the most of our three days. We can’t wait to return for a longer stay and have already spoken to Nordine about suggestions for a multi-week itinerary with CamelSafaris next time. There’s so much more to explore!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are glad that you and your children enjoyed your first visit to Morocco and that your Sahara adventure became such a special part of your trip. We will be sure to share your kind words with Nordine, and we look forward to welcoming you back for an even longer Moroccan journey in the future! 🐪🇲🇦

3-Day Private Desert Tour
The trip of a lifetime! My wife and I went on the private 3-day desert tour from Marrakesh out to the Erg Chebbi Sahara Desert sand dunes near Merzouga. Our guide Mustafa was excellent and took us to all the top sites along the route. Mustafa was highly knowledgeable and passionate about teaching us about Moroccan culture and history. We drove through several cities and towns along the way, and stopped to see the famous Kasbah Alt Ben Haddou, as well as the towering Todra Gorge. We went during the winter time in early January, and the jacket and extra layer helped us stay warm during cold spells in the Atlas Mountains and out in the desert at night. The accommodations were more than comfortable and staff were helpful in answering our questions. Remember to bring plenty of cash (Dirham) for meals and souvenirs, and don’t forget to tip your guide at the end. A trip to Morocco is never complete without a desert tour like this. Highly recommend!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your incredible review! We’re truly delighted to hear that your 3-day desert tour was “the trip of a lifetime.” That’s exactly the kind of experience we aim to create for our guests. It’s wonderful to know that Mustafa made such a positive impact on your journey. His passion for sharing Moroccan culture and history is something we’re very proud of, and we’ll be sure to pass along your kind words to him. Your route through the Atlas Mountains, visiting the iconic Ait Ben Haddou and the stunning Todra Gorge, before reaching the breathtaking dunes of Erg Chebbi, is truly one of the most unforgettable experiences Morocco has to offer. We’re also glad you found the accommodations comfortable and appreciated the helpful staff along the way. Thank you as well for sharing useful tips for future travelers specially regarding winter travel and bringing cash. It was a pleasure organizing your adventure, and we’re so grateful for your recommendation. We hope to welcome you back to Morocco for another unforgettable journey in the future!

Amazing experience.
I can’t say enough about how good this trip was.. Camel Safari services exceeded our expectation in every aspect. Our driver Ibrahim was professional and our guide Mohammad was amazing. The hotel we stayed in the first night was more of a castle and came as a nice surprise.. the camel ride was not very long but long enough to get the experience and the camping was in reality glamping.. overall, I highly recommend canal safari for any activity if you are planning to visit Morocco.

Why this scores 79
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
3-Day Private Sahara Desert Tour from Marrakech & Camel Ride: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.
How much does 3-Day Private Sahara Desert Tour from Marrakech & Camel Ride cost?
+
Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 3-Day Private Sahara Desert Tour from Marrakech & Camel Ride take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.
Is 3-Day Private Sahara Desert Tour from Marrakech & Camel Ride worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 292 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 3-Day Private Sahara Desert Tour from Marrakech & Camel Ride?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 3-Day Private Sahara Desert Tour from Marrakech & Camel Ride suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 72-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 3-Day Private Sahara Desert Tour from Marrakech & Camel Ride?
+
Around 102 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 3-Day Private Sahara Desert Tour from Marrakech & Camel Ride start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Marrakech?
+
On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, From Marrakech To Essaouira Mogador Full Day Trip | Small-group, Agafay Desert Package, Quad Bike, Camel Ride and Dinner Show. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Marrakech?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Marrakech?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
