Good, but not enough information

It was nice and beautiful. Just one important thing, the photos. 0 information about what time is best for them. It's morning now. But we were all ready for the evening. So, in the morning, the weather and lighting were amazing, but no one knew about it and was not ready to take pictures. It will be very pleasant if the guide explains what's what. We are overwhelmed with emotions, but we don't have any good photos🫠

If you do not speak...

If you do not speak spanish or portugese, RUN AWAY. Here is my experience in short. Before I even booked my trip I requested confirmation, that pick up along the way is possible. This was confirmed as "No problem" and I booked my trip. I used the contact number before the trip to communicate the pick up at location, where I was staying and all still looked fine. But on the day of the trip, it became a big issue to provide me with the number of the bus driver. The contact person actually got so aggressive, that i was told I will find the money i paid at a hotel, and "go where you want". All this for asking for a contact number. Client friendly from the beginning. Still, in the end pick up happened. During the transfer, even though there was supposed to be an english guide, there was none. So information shared was extremely limited to none. Once arriving at first accommodation, the hotel was questionable. Lightbulbs instead of lamps, rooms, which for sure saw better days and I rather do not even start about the flies. But, survivable. Next day, which was supposed to be the highlight, the following happened: 1. visiting a Berber family and getting henna - it was actually a souvenir shop, where once entering, some clothing was pushed on everybody to take pictures. After that, they took the clothing and we could shop. When asked the "tour guide", what is next i was showed to go get lunch, so I missed the henna part as I did not know it was happening. 2. once arriving at the desert, I had the option to select a 4x4 or ride a camel at the camp. This did not happen at all, and together with all the people on my bus I was pushed to get on a 4x4. I mentioned multiple times, that I do not feel confident driving it, and that Im scared. Nobody listened and additionally I was told I need to pay 400 dirham on the spot as this is the way to get to the camp. I had no other option than to pay. When the drive started I stopped after maybe 700m and said im not driving as Im scared. My 4x4 stayed in that spot, and i could drive with one of the guides to the camp. 3. After arriving at the camp I was told that I will be moved to a different camp, as that is part of the package. Additionally, was informed, that there will be a pick up for dinner at this camp and to be ready. Pick up arrive late, which caused, that I missed the only sunset in the desert. 4. After dinner I looked for a guide and asked him, why was I not offered the came ride, which was part of my package. I was told, no problem, that next day morning I will have 10 min camel ride. No explanation, why this is handled this way. Third day of the trip, the pick up from my camp happened again over an hour late. Car brought us to where we got off the busses, and there I had the camel ride. It for sure was no riding the camel in the desert, as there were no sand dunes. when asking to return the 400 dirham, which i paid for a service i did not request and did not wanted to attend, it was a big issue. I have all the communication via Whatsup on my phone, which i will be attaching, which shows the way things were communicated with me. Not only does it show how the trip was suddenly cancelled and I needed to involve my Moroccan friends, so I can attend the trip, but as well, after the trip, they send me messages, telling me, that my bad review (not written by me, but another unsatisfied customer) will not have any affect on them, as they are to good. After asking them what that means, they right away deleted those messages, so I do not have the exact messages, but it shows, that they wee deleted. I have never experience a trip with such negligence and ignorance and especially arrogance. I really DO NOT understand, who these people can have only good reviews, but my experience was a full blown tragedy.

Response from the operator: This client initially booked a trip with us, but the reservation was canceled mutually through WhatsApp, and we fully refunded the amount paid. We were therefore surprised by this review, especially since the trip was never completed with our agency. We do not understand the reason behind such a comment, as we handled the cancellation professionally and respectfully. Our team always aims to provide honest service and maintain good relations with all client

Is 3-Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour with Luxury Camp & Camel worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 773 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 3-Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour with Luxury Camp & Camel?

+

+

Around 271 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Marrakech?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Marrakech?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
