Excellent

This was amazing! We went with a group of 5, including teenagers. The bus is comfortable, the guides are very knowledgeable and offer to take many pictures. The stops are beautiful, and so is the dessert. There was no choice for food but I found it very nice. At the camp there is a buffet. The tents are way more comfortable than I expected and you just sleep with people you know. Our guide Hakim was the best, amazingly funny and friendly guy!!

Morocco trip review

Our desert trip in Morocco was truly an unforgettable experience . The journey was perfectly organized and filled with beautiful scenery, cultural discoveries, and unique moments that we will always remember. A big part of what made this trip so enjoyable was our wonderful tour guide and driver, Hakkim, who made the entire journey smooth, informative. From the very beginning, Hakkim was friendly, professional, and welcoming. He made sure everyone in the group felt comfortable during the long drive and always checked that we were enjoying the trip. His driving was very safe and relaxed, which made traveling through the winding roads easy and enjoyable. What made the experience even better was the way he shared stories and information about Moroccan culture, traditions, and the places we visited along the route. It felt like we were learning about the country while exploring it. During the journey, we also had the chance to see several old towns along the way. Walking through these historic areas was a great opportunity to experience traditional Moroccan architecture and daily life. The narrow streets, old buildings, and local markets gave us a glimpse into the rich history of the region. It added a cultural dimension to the trip that made it even more special. One of the most impressive parts of the journey was driving through the Atlas Mountains. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. The dramatic mountain landscapes, winding roads, and small Berber villages created stunning views at every turn. Hakkim made several stops at scenic viewpoints so we could take pictures and truly enjoy the beauty of the mountains. These stops allowed us to appreciate the natural beauty of Morocco and made the long drive feel like an adventure itself. Another major highlight of the trip was visiting the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. This historic site is incredibly beautiful and full of history. Walking through the ancient mud-brick buildings felt like stepping back in time. The kasbah is very well preserved, and climbing to the top offered incredible views of the surrounding valley and desert landscape. It was easy to see why this place has been used in many famous movies. Of course, the most magical part of the trip was the Sahara Desert experience. Riding camels across the golden dunes while watching the sunset was absolutely unforgettable. The peaceful silence of the desert and the changing colors of the sky created a truly magical atmosphere. It was one of those moments that felt almost unreal. After the camel ride, we arrived at a traditional Berber desert camp where we spent the night. The camp was comfortable and beautifully set up with traditional tents. The staff welcomed us warmly and served a delicious Moroccan dinner. Later in the evening, we gathered around the fire while the team played traditional music and drums. Sitting under the clear desert sky filled with countless stars was an incredible and peaceful experience. The next morning we woke up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Seeing the first light slowly illuminate the vast desert was the perfect ending to this amazing adventure. Overall, this trip was a perfect mix of adventure, culture, and natural beauty. Exploring the old towns, crossing the Atlas Mountains, visiting historic sites, and experiencing the Sahara made this journey truly special. A special thank you to our driver guide Hakkim for his kindness, knowledge, and professionalism. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Morocco.

Beautiful, fun, and lots of memories

Very cool experience with lots of travels and memories. Overall the driving may make you nauseous as there are lots pf windy roads, and the food stops are ok, but other than that, everything was amazing!!!

3 - Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.

How much does 3 - Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 3 - Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour take?

+

Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.

Is 3 - Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 23 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 3 - Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 3 - Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 72-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 3 - Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour?

+

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 3 - Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Marrakech?

+

On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, From Marrakech To Essaouira Mogador Full Day Trip | Small-group, Agafay Desert Package, Quad Bike, Camel Ride and Dinner Show. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Marrakech?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Marrakech?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
