The best weekend trip ever!
The team at MoAfrika was very quick to respond to my inquiry and ensured I stayed at the resort that best fit my needs. They handled everything seamlessly!! The resort was beautiful and we saw the big 5. It was truly a trip of a lifetime and I highly recommend.

Everything we hoped for, and more
MoAfrika Tours was fantastic from first to last. They gave us several packages to choose from, so we were able to easily pick the one that fit out goals and budget. We chose Kapama Buffalo Camp. From the first, Ruben at MoAfrika was responsive and friendly, and answered all my many questions quickly. He checked in all through the trip to make sure everything was going well. Kapama Buffalo Camp was perfect for us. All inclusive but not bougie, it really fit the bill. The staff was attentive and cheerful, the tent house was gorgeous and incredibly comfortable, and the food was delicious! And the safari! Our guide Themba and our tracker Kenneth made a great team, and we saw everything, including leopards, lions, baby elephants, rhinos, hippos, giraffes, zebras, kudu, you name it. Themba's deep knowledge of the country and animals was informative and moving, and really connected us to the wonders around us. We went on a fascinating and informative bush walk with another of the guides, Hancho. On our last day we also went to Elephant Moments, an orphanage for rescued elephants inside Kapama, where you can feed, touch and interact with these magnificent creatures. The trip of a lifetime.

MAGICAL EXPERIENCE WITH MOAFRIKA TOURS TO KAPAMA BUFFALO CAMP
I want to break down my review in 3 sections: 1) Trip Planning with Mo-Afrika Tours, 2) Kapama Buffalo Camp Experience, 3) Kapama Game Reserve Experience 1) Trip Planning with Mo-Afrika Tours: EASY and PERFECT! We worked with Rishen. From the moment. When I come back to plan my next trip I will request to work with him and this tour company. From the moment I got in touch with MoAfrika Tours Rishen made everything so easy. He asked me what experience I wanted, whom I would be traveling with and their needs, my budget, and timeframe. From there he sent me different options but also offered his impeccable insight which was invaluable. I trust his expertise. Everything he said was spot on and it was exactly what I wanted. The coordination Rishen did to make our trip possible was seamless. I tend to get stressed out about traveling in places I have never been, and he made sure I knew every detail, and took care of every detail from literally the moment I left from my house in cape town. Finally, Rishen is so patient, nice, and easy to talk to. I felt like any concerns, questions or issues I had I was able to voice, and he found suggestions and very reassuring. 2) Kapama Buffalo Camp Experience: WONDROUS! For my first time safari experience I wanted to stay at a place that had attentive staff, accommodating to my families needs (for reference: some of us have severe allergies and dietary restrictions, elderly with disability), warm and cozy vibe. This is exactly what Kapama Buffalo Camp was. From the moment we were picked up at the airport, Hancho (our guide) picked us up and was welcoming and easy to talk to. Langu was our coordinator in the camp and she was so wam and sweet. She was so organized, had our itinerary down to the last detail outlined for us. The staff was so prompt, attentive, and always available to help at any given time. The rooms were stellar. They rival any 5-star luxury hotel. So clean, they thought of everything. The food was excellent. Hancho and Thambo were our guides and they were so fun to go on the game drives. They were so knowledgeable and patient. 3) Kapama Game Reserve: PLENTIFUL and AMAZING! It is separate from Kruger National Park. But that does not mean anything in terms of seeing wildlife. Rishen and honcho told me there would be so many animals and they were so right! We saw a myriad of birds, Big Five (over and over again multiple times, multiple days), Giraffes, Hyenas, Different species of Antelope, Warthogs, Small Cats, and Monkeys. There was such an abundance. The thing that was astonishing to me was that we were able to see all of this in our 3D/2N trip. OVERALL: I was very happy with my experience with MoAfrika Tours, Kapama Buffalo Camp, and going to Kapama Game Reserve. I definitely will be coming back and doing everything the same. The only thing I would change is I would love to stay extra nights because I loved it so much. There is nothing I would otherwise change. I was so so so happy and appreciative with everything. Thank you guys so much (Rishen, Lungu, Hancho, Thambo, Pete, Mpho, Mark, Carlos)!

3 Day Kapama Buffalo Camp Safari: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Johannesburg.
How much does 3 Day Kapama Buffalo Camp Safari cost?
+
Prices start at $37108 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Johannesburg usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 3 Day Kapama Buffalo Camp Safari take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Johannesburg is not rushed.
Is 3 Day Kapama Buffalo Camp Safari worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 46 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Johannesburg, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 3 Day Kapama Buffalo Camp Safari?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is 3 Day Kapama Buffalo Camp Safari suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 8. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 72-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 3 Day Kapama Buffalo Camp Safari?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Johannesburg can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Johannesburg and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 3 Day Kapama Buffalo Camp Safari start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Johannesburg within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Johannesburg?
+
On Outty we rank every Johannesburg experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soweto and Johannesburg Exclusive Full Day Guided Tour, Full Day Ultimate Pilanesberg National Park Safari from Johannesburg or Pretoria, Half-Day Tour of Soweto Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Johannesburg?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Johannesburg?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
