Fantastic Safari Experience in a nice lodge
Great Safari camp on a private game reserve. The staff at the lodge were all wonderful and the food was amazing. My Safari Guide (Given) was fantastic and I ended up seeing all of the big 5 (plus many other animals and birds) in just the 4 drives that my schedule allowed me to stay for. MoAfrika helped sort out all of the logistics for the stay, including picking me up and dropping me off at my hotels in Johanessburg (Thanks Ruben for helping me pick Greenfire!)

A family atmosphere safari
Lovely place with amazing service and family atmosphere thanks to Carol and Nigel. And thanks to the whole staff for the great time and making the savana a lovely place to enjoy 3 days of relax (yes, although the 5 AM wake up), food (a lot but amazing good) and safari (with a lot of animals possible to see, although we missed the shy leopard).
Response from the operator: Hi Giuseppe R, We are thrilled to hear you had such a memorable safari with us, and grateful for your kind words. Your appreciation for Carol and Nigel will absolutely be passed along — thank you for the special mention. It would be an absolute pleasure to host you again on your next safari with us. Great lodge, nice safari, horrible transport
The safari was great, the lodge was beautiful and everything was well organized from the Lodge itself. However, the transport from and to Johannesburg with a company called SafriLink was terrible. They were both times late, squeezed us in a full minivan and we had to sit in the last row for 7 hours with little AC. On top, they damaged my suitcase so much that I can throw it away. I complained about this to MoAfrika and they did nothing about it, not even apologize to me. Quite disappointing for an otherwise great trip.
Response from the operator: Dear client Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent safari experience. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the safari and the lodge, and we appreciate your kind words about the organization at the lodge. However, we are truly sorry to hear about your disappointing experience with the transport provided by SafariLink. We understand how frustrating it must have been to deal with the inconveniences of delayed transportation, uncomfortable seating, and especially the damage to your suitcase. Please accept our sincerest apologies for these issues and for the fact that your complaint was not addressed by our management team as it should have been. This oversight does not reflect the high standard of customer care we strive for. Our goal is to ensure that all aspects of our guests' safari experiences, including transportation, are of the highest quality and comfort. We have discussed your transfer with our kruger transfer company and I have been assured this won’t happen again We regret that we were not able to resolve this matter when you first brought it to our attention, and we would like to make things right. We would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this matter further with you and explore how we can adequately compensate you for the damage to your suitcase and the discomfort you experienced. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we are committed to learning from this experience to prevent similar issues in the future. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention, and we hope to have the opportunity to regain your trust in our services. Warm regards, Anthony CEO

A perfect safari at a perfect lodge
Everything about Greenfire Lodge is amazing. I went for 5 days/4nights, and wish I would have plan for a week or more. The cabin are super pretty, very comfortable and with an unobstructed view of the river. Service was impeccable and the food great. Their drivers/guides are very knowledgable and professionnels. There is no guarantee for the Big 5 but our little group did it. (Miss Leopard did wait till the last minutes). Balule private reserve has a great abondance of all animals.
Response from the operator: Hi sylb108, We are thrilled to hear you had such a memorable safari with us, and grateful for your kind words. It would be an absolute pleasure to host you again on your next safari with us. Warm regards, The MoAfrica Team

3 Day Greenfire Game Lodge Safari: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Johannesburg.
How much does 3 Day Greenfire Game Lodge Safari cost?
+
Prices start at $18820 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Johannesburg usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 3 Day Greenfire Game Lodge Safari take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Johannesburg is not rushed.
Is 3 Day Greenfire Game Lodge Safari worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Johannesburg, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 3 Day Greenfire Game Lodge Safari?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is 3 Day Greenfire Game Lodge Safari suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 12. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 72-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 3 Day Greenfire Game Lodge Safari?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Johannesburg can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Johannesburg and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 3 Day Greenfire Game Lodge Safari start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Johannesburg within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Johannesburg?
+
On Outty we rank every Johannesburg experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soweto and Johannesburg Exclusive Full Day Guided Tour, Full Day Ultimate Pilanesberg National Park Safari from Johannesburg or Pretoria, Half-Day Tour of Soweto Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Johannesburg?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Johannesburg?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
