    Good Experience

We had a great double-primate safari with Bush Craft Safaris! Our guide was professional—thanks to him, we spotted the Big 4 in Queen Elizabeth National Park area (missing only the rhino, which is only in the north) and were lucky enough to see the tree-climbing lion. Securely acquiring the permits went seamlessly, allowing us to get up close with both chimpanzees in Kibale and a silverback gorilla in Bwindi. While all the lodge staff provided wonderful service, the physical facilities were somewhat basic, and none of our accommodations across the 5 days had stable or sufficient hot water for showers.

    Unbelievable experience

I couldn’t recommend this experience highly enough. The entire 3-day trip was incredibly well organised from start to finish, and everything ran smoothly throughout. A massive special mention has to go to my guide, Bruce. He was absolutely unbelievable and genuinely went above and beyond to make the trip as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him, and he even went out of his way to help me with things that were well outside what I would have expected from a guide. Bruce’s knowledge of Uganda, the wildlife, local culture and the gorilla trekking experience was first class. He was always happy to answer questions, explain what we were seeing and share his knowledge along the way. On top of that, he was incredibly friendly, professional and great company for the entire three days. The gorilla trek itself was an unforgettable experience, but having Bruce as our guide made the whole trip even better. He is an absolute credit to the company and I couldn’t speak more highly of him. If you’re considering booking a gorilla trekking trip, I would 100% recommend this company — and if you get the chance to have Bruce as your guide, you’re in very good hand's. Thanks again Bruce for an amazing few days!

Amazing gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

It was a fantastic safari! It was amazing to be able to see the gorillas from such close up. Contacting the operator before booking was straightforward. Our questions were answered quickly and important information was shared in good time. We arrived a day earlier and were picked up in a private car at the airport, despite our late arrival time. We were also able to arrange the hotel for our first night in Kigali easily and cheaply through them in advance. Our fantastic guide Bruce accompanied us throughout the trip. Along the way, he told us more about the life, culture, and rich history of both Rwanda and Uganda – always with a big smile and a sense of humour. He constantly checked whether we were still enjoying ourselves, if we wanted to take photos, or if we needed anything. He also helped us with all the formalities at the border, so we could continue our journey quickly. Thanks to him, the long journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park flew by. The accommodations were as shown, all high-quality and chosen for their stunning views and excellent locations – especially the boat trip to the lodge on Lake Bunyonyi. The lunches en route and the dinners at the lodges were also delicious. Don’t forget to bring some small change so you can tip the staff. In the end, we were allowed to spend an hour with the gorilla family. The rangers did everything they could to ensure we found the family quickly (within an hour!) and that we could see the animals as clearly as possible from just a few metres away. Even when we had to cross the river, the rangers didn’t hesitate to get their feet wet for our sake. A truly wonderful experience and service! We enjoyed every moment – thanks in large part to our guide Bruce – and would recommend it to everyone.

3 Day Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi impenetrable Forest: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kampala.

How much does 3 Day Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi impenetrable Forest cost?

    +

Prices start at $2,613 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kampala usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 3 Day Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi impenetrable Forest take?

    +

Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kampala is not rushed.

Is 3 Day Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi impenetrable Forest worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kampala, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 3 Day Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi impenetrable Forest?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 3 Day Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi impenetrable Forest suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 72-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 3 Day Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi impenetrable Forest?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kampala can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kampala and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 3 Day Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi impenetrable Forest start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kampala within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kampala?

    +

On Outty we rank every Kampala experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kampala’s Best Experience walking tour, Kampala Walking City Tours (Women-Guided), Kampala Heart of Walking Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kampala?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kampala?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in 3 Day Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi impenetrable Forest?

    +

Included: Lunch; Dinner; and Breakfast. Not included: Alcoholic beverages. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

Does 3 Day Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi impenetrable Forest include hotel pickup?

    +

Yes, pickup is offered for every traveler from 2 listed pickup locations in and around Kampala. Be ready about 30 minutes before the start time.

What languages is 3 Day Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi impenetrable Forest offered in?

    +

It is offered in German, English, Italian, French and Spanish. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.

Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for 3 Day Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi impenetrable Forest?

    +

Is 3 Day Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi impenetrable Forest wheelchair or stroller accessible?

    +

The operator notes: Not recommended for pregnant travelers. If accessibility is critical, contact the operator after booking to confirm arrangements for your date.

What happens to 3 Day Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi impenetrable Forest if the weather is bad?

    +

It generally runs rain or shine, so dress for the forecast in Kampala. Standard cancellation terms apply: free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start.
