Our nature activities are a great way to experience Hilton Head Island by water. We get up close and personal with the salt marsh, oysters, and, by far, the vast number of our tours will see bottlenose dolphins. The dolphins are, of course, wild animals, so they come and go as they please. But in the summer months, the experiences run at nearly 90% seeing dolphins, and even in the off-season, the percentages are very high as the bottlenose dolphin population lives in the area year-round. We occasionally see manatees in the warmer months and, on occasion, get lucky and see a loggerhead turtle, mink, otter, or bald eagle. It's a great experience for all ages, and as Trip Advisor shows we have nearly all five stars and do our very best to show each and every guest a great time over the last 25 years! All ages are welcome, as generally, we will do our best to split into multiple groups based on groups with or without kids, as well as different experience levels. Come join the fun!

Terrific dolphin tour
Mike was our guide and he was terrific. He has lots of knowledge about the animals we saw including a mom and baby dolphin. At one point they both swam right under my kayak. He also talked about some history of the area. It was just a great tour!

Good fun but did not see any Dolphins
My wife and I did the tour 1st of October 2026. Mike was our guide. When we arrived at Broad Creek Marina we did not know which way to go to Kayak Tours. Better signs would be helpful. My wife and I shared a Kayak. We saw some birds but did not see any Dolphins. Maybe it's best to check with the operator if Dolphins have been seen lately before booking. Be careful getting out of the Kayak on to the dock not to trip over a Kayak on the dock. Mike was an entertaining guide with some good jokes.
Response from the operator: Thanks so much for joining us and we appreciate your time taken in writing a review. Sorry we did not see dolphins on this one. There's always a chance that this can happen in that they are totally wild animals that come and go if they choose. Fortunately for us and our guests we are located right in the middle of one of their favorite feeding areas and are almost always close by. Though our guides are all very experienced and know exactly where the dolphins favorite places to feed and play are, there are times that the dolphins are around the bend and when we circle around to where they may have been 10 minutes ago they in turn circle around and end up being in the area that we just left. There is rarely a time that 2 hours go by that I don't see at least a few dolphins feeding and playing very close by out departure spot but again being wild animals they will move about at times within this zone. So to answer the suggestion that guests should check with the tour operator if dolphins have been seen lately that answer is always going to be YES as they spend time feeding within close range to us everyday and all throughout the day. But definitely call us at 843-684-1910 to ask that question though as we are always happy to give you up to date information. Over the last 3 months or so we have been easily at 90% or better of seeing dolphins and on a day we have a tour that doesn't see them, the other 3 tours that day most likely have seen many of them. This is there home range and more days that not we have seen dolphins on all four tours we have done. This is our 26 year in business and our dolphin success rate is definitely the highest of any place you might kayak in Hilton Head because it is such a great feeding area for them right where we are located. Certainly though we fully understand a guests disappointment if the dolphins don't cooperate at any given tour time as we are disappointed on those occasions too. Different Paddling Levels, One AMAZING Experience!
Such a great experience for our girls’ trip! Everyone was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, and Mike took such great care of our group from beginning to end. We definitely had MANY different levels of paddling ability in our group 😂, and Mike was patient, encouraging and made sure everyone felt comfortable and was having a great time. We never felt rushed or like anyone was being left behind. It was such a fun way to get out on the water, enjoy the beautiful surroundings and do something a little adventurous together. We felt completely taken care of and had the BEST time. Would absolutely recommend — especially for a group with mixed kayaking experience!

Fantastic dolphin adventure!
Don’t miss this! The kayak adventure was fantastic. We saw so many dolphins up close, incredible to see their beauty in their own environment. Todd was a wonderful guide. He shared so many interesting facts about dolphins as well as info about HHI. He was very accommodating to all ages and abilities. I would highly recommend and honestly can’t wait to go again!

Great excursion!
So glad we booked this trip! Our tour guide, Zack, was very thorough in explaining the procedure for kayaking through the marsh and into the inlet. He was knowledgeable about the wildlife in the area. And of course, we saw a lot of dolphins! Unfortunately, I was too slow hitting the photo button on my camera. We had so much fun on our trip!
