Walk the back roads of Gatlinburg and learn about its haunted history and folklore on this nighttime tour. With a guide, you'll learn how you, too, can capture paranormal photos. Use ghost-hunting equipment like you see on tv to potentially communicate with ghosts along the way. The tour is an outdoor walking tour as such there is plenty of room for social distancing and masks are optional, It is wheelchair and stroller accessible and service animals are allowed. Unfortunately, due to the late completion time, the Trollys don’t run that late but we do offer free parking and of course, taxis and Uber, Lyft are available. The walk is about one mile all on flat paved ground spread out over 2 hours with lots of stops so a messy relaxing walk but no places to sit or restrooms are available during the tour. This is not a private tour groups can be as large as the upper 20’s in the busiest times but average in the high teens to low 20’s.

What you'll see and do
Your night tour begins in the parking lot next to the log cabin pancake house (between the pancake house and the Bel Air motel) where you'll have free parking and check in and meet your guide. Then set off on your 1-mile (1.6-km) walking tour that introduces you to Gatlinburg's darker history and folklore. Visit some of the city's notorious and haunted places, walking the same paths as murderers, victims, con artists, and self-promoters. You'll see photographs taken by others on the tour of eerie sights, from orbs to full-blown ghostly apparitions. Learn how you too can get similar photographs. As an extra bonus with your tour, you will use ghost-hunting equipment to search for and possibly communicate with the local spirits.

Amazing Experience!!
My husband and I were in the Sevierville area for vacation and decided we wanted to try a ghost tour. We came across this 2 hr extended tour and we absolutely loved it! Pete was our guide and he was wonderful and very knowledgeable, along with having great storytelling abilities. The price for the tour was very reasonable, especially since you could carry real ghost hunting equipment! We had a small group and it was a very personable experience. Walking the streets of Gatlinburg at night and hearing the stories was such a neat date night idea! We bought the t-shirts which are nice quality as well as a great souvenir of our tour. I bought one of Pete’s books after the tour which he signed for me and I can’t wait to read it! The free parking was a huge plus for the tour as well, since most parking is around $20 in the area. We had some bonus thrilling experiences with 3 bear sightings on the night of our tour, which was intense but we felt comfortable as Pete was familiar with instructing us on what to do and the bears really just left us alone since we weren’t bothering with them. All in all, do yourself a favor and book this tour! 😊👻

Our tour guide (Mark) was phenomenal! The tour itself was great, it wasn’t gimmicky and we learned a lot about Gatlinburgs history. Getting to ghost hunt on our own at the end was pretty awesome. Would definitely do it again, it’s so worth the money and Mark is great!

Just Okay, Wouldn't do it again
We went in October 2025 and absolutely LOVED this tour. Our guide was phenomenal, providing a good combination of eerie and history, as well as teaching us how to look for spirits while on the tour. The walk was easy, and she made us feel safe during all 9 bear encounters we had. Coming back in August 2026 with friends, we RAVED about this tour, immediately booking tickets for everyone. Disappointing doesn't even begin to describe our experience. Half of the stops were cut, and information was missing from the stops that were there. I found myself filling in information for the friends we brought with us from the previous tour. He handed us equipment but didn't really teach us how to use it, and was very apathetic during the entire tour. I felt like I was sitting in a boring high school history class, and the history is usually my favorite part of the tour! When I asked about some of the previous (well-known) folklore, the guide just said "I don't tell stories just to entertain people" and "I didn't have any experiences in that house so it's not true". This time, we had to be bear watch because our tour guide didn't seem to care about our safety. My husband told everyone the safety guidelines from last time, and we followed those. The whole tour just seems to have gone down in the last 10 months, which is really sad because this was one of our favorites.
