From hell to heaven :)
Lalibela was at the end of our trip. It was a wonderful mood as Epiphany was about to arrive. Ethiopia is a very religious country and lalibela is considered 2. Jerusalem and is thus an important pilgrimage site with its many churches. Our guides were funny and very friendly. We have learned much more about the culture, religion and history lalibela. The churches built in rocks are impressive! Especially the stick dark overhang from one church to the other (from hell to heaven), here is 100% reliance on the guide. In the evening we had great conversations and drank delicious beer in a wonderful bar in the middle of the village square;) Lalibela (all Ethiopia) is a charming place.

+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
