Specialized's Most Excellent Joiurney to Xi'an
We had an absolutely fantastic time in Xi'an and it wouldn’t have been the same without our guide Wendy. She was extremely helpful and attentive and went out of her way to make sure everyone was well looked after – she even came to the airport and picked us up which was really unexpected. Our group consisted of 18 boisterous men and one lady, but this didn’t affect her at all. She was very professional…even when some of the guys hopped on to the bus very hungover from a heavy drinking session the night before. Without your Wendy’s help we wouldn’t have understood the history behind the Terracotta Warriors or what we were looking at when we got there. The commentary she gave the whole time she was with us was excellent! Although when we went to Mt Huashan it was heavily fogged over, this trip was one of the highlights of all the time I have spent in China – I’m not sure why more westerners don’t go there. You need to be quite fit to make it all the way to the top, but even without the amazing views it was an awesome experience. I would definitely recommend that you ask for an early collection (i.e. 6am) so that crowds and long waits for tickets can be avoided (people start to queue for tickets at 5.30am). It would be a world class destination on the right day – even if you only go up and down the chairlift! I have travelled a lot in China over a period of 20 years and it’s great to see the country is finally opening itself to tourism. The emails and communication from your this agency were fantastic and everything was easy to transact. We would definitely recommend their services…we had an absolute blast

Awesome Trip with amazing views.
Liu (Nobel) was our Guide - he was fantastic - he had us for 2 days - Day 1 Terracotta Warriors and day 2 Mt Huashan. He was a excellent tour guide and spoke great English. He gave us loads of information and it was great having him escort us on the Mt Huashan Hike. He always had water in the vehicle for us and even bought some buns to share on the hike. He notified us the day before that the weather was not great for the hike and offered to swap the days around so we could get the most of our time in Xi an. The driver we had was also great. Booking through Chinaxiantour was easy and they kept communicating with us to ensure we had exactly what we wanted. I would highly recommend this company and guide.
Response from the operator: Dear kjubick, Thanks for sharing your experience and feelings about both the guide and our service. Noble is always very responsible and helpful who has received a lot praise from our clients. Besides, Mt Huashan, as one of the five famous mountains in China is indeed worth visiting. It's a place people can experience the most breathtaking climbing, view the natural scenery of magnificent peaks and precipitous crags. We are happy that you have appreciated the charm of the mountain already. Looking forward to meeting you again in future time. Have a nice day. Warm regards, Sophia

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
2-Day Xi'an Private Tour: Mount Huashan and Terracotta Warriors: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Xian.
How much does 2-Day Xi'an Private Tour: Mount Huashan and Terracotta Warriors cost?
+
Prices start at $429 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Xian usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 2-Day Xi'an Private Tour: Mount Huashan and Terracotta Warriors take?
+
Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Xian is not rushed.
Is 2-Day Xi'an Private Tour: Mount Huashan and Terracotta Warriors worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Xian, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 2-Day Xi'an Private Tour: Mount Huashan and Terracotta Warriors?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 2-Day Xi'an Private Tour: Mount Huashan and Terracotta Warriors suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 2-Day Xi'an Private Tour: Mount Huashan and Terracotta Warriors?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Xian can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Xian and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 2-Day Xi'an Private Tour: Mount Huashan and Terracotta Warriors start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Xian within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Xian?
+
On Outty we rank every Xian experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Xi'an Day Tour: Terracotta Army&Optional City Attractions, All-Inclusive Terracotta Army Tour with Premium Buffet Lunch, 2-Day Customized Warriors Tours & Xian Top Attractions. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Xian?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Xian?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
