Great two day tour in a great city!
First of all I want to recommend to come visit Shanghai. It is a great city with many places to see and the people are very friendly. The tour company organized everything perfectly. Special thanks to Helen, our tour guide, who was always very friendly with us and is also a great person. Thanks to her we learned not only a lot about Shanghai but also about this great country. The driver was also very kind, always looking to do the best for us. So I wholeheartedly recommend this tour, this company and Helen.
Response from the operator: Dear Mark, Thanks a lot for your recommendation! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed exploring Shanghai and that Helen's guidance and the driver's service made your experience memorable. It's wonderful to know you gained rich insights into both the city and Chinese culture. We truly appreciate your trust and look forward to welcoming you back for more discoveries! Warm regards, China Xian Tour

5 Day Tailored Tour of Shinaghai, Suzhou, Zhujiajiang and Hangzhou
We actually did a tailored 5 day tour including trips out to Suzhou, Zhujiajiang water town and Hangzhou. Our guide for 4 days in Shanghai, Suzhou and Zhujiajiao was Maria. She was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing her love of history and culture. She also helped us with any other advise or assistance we needed. For our day in Hangzhou we had Lulu as a guide and she was also fantastic.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your wonderful trip with us. We are very glad to hear you have enjoyed our service. We hope to serve you again soon! Best regards,

2 day tour
It was the best tour. Zeck and Danity were so knowledgeable. We have booked many tours before but this tour topped it. We learned so much about Shanghai and the culture.

Everything we wanted to see
Looked at a number of different tours and chose this one. Good choice. Saw all of the highlights. Our guide ("Melody"- her English name) was knowledgable and good. Would recommend this tour. If you have a shorter time, or are in your 20's or 30's. you could probably cover most of this in one day. But if you like to take things in at a slightly slower pace, this is a good choice

A good survey of Shanghai in two days
Our guide Maria was stellar, flexible and adaptable. To ensure everything was in line, she phoned the evening before to confirm details and ensure we connected the next morning efficiently. Maria planned the tour to ensure the best experience based on the ever changing nature of Shanghai. Additionally and of interest, China Xian takes feedback seriously and adapts their tours to the needs of clients which is impressive. The tour does hit the top Shanghai sites: The Bund, the Jade Temple, the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower (of which the Shanghai History Museum sits at the base), a Huangpu River cruise, Yuyuan Garden, Yuyuan Market, Xintiandi (which looks and feels like any other high-end tourist area anywhere in the world), the French Concession, Nanjing Road ("Times Square"). Maria made all of these places come alive, especially the Yuyuan Garden. The tour is an excellent survey of Shanghai in two days. The lunches that are included are good and at higher end restaurants in the French Concession and on Nanjing Road. Please make sure if you don't to shop, you explicitly book the tour that indicates there will be no shopping (Pearl Market and Silk Market).
Response from the operator: Dear David, You are highly appreciated for your feedback and your good suggestions. We are happy to know that you have spent a wonderful time with our guide Maria in Shanghai. She is one of the best guides in our company, we are proud of her and believe we would work together to bring more travelers a better experience! We also love your sincere and practical suggestions which inspire us a lot to make our tour design and arrangement more proper, thank you!!! We have already amended the itinerary as per your suggestion and will take it as a good example to polish other tours. Since your meaningful feedback, we realize it better how important role our customers's feedback play for our improvement. We will definitely keep a closer connection with further customers to monitor their travel process and travel feelings! Again, thank you! We hope we can see you to China in future, welcome back! Best Regards, Lenna | China Xian Tour

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
2-Day Shanghai Highlight Tour Combo Package: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Shanghai.
How much does 2-Day Shanghai Highlight Tour Combo Package cost?
+
Prices start at $112 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Shanghai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 2-Day Shanghai Highlight Tour Combo Package take?
+
Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Shanghai is not rushed.
Is 2-Day Shanghai Highlight Tour Combo Package worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Shanghai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 2-Day Shanghai Highlight Tour Combo Package?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 144 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 2-Day Shanghai Highlight Tour Combo Package suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 2-Day Shanghai Highlight Tour Combo Package?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Shanghai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Shanghai and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 2-Day Shanghai Highlight Tour Combo Package start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Shanghai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Shanghai?
+
On Outty we rank every Shanghai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Shanghai Full Day City Tour with Old and New Highlights, Suzhou Private Day Trip from Shanghai with Bullet Train Option, 4-Hour Flexible Private Shanghai City Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Shanghai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Shanghai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
