Memorable experience!
It is a wonderful and memorable experience. The guides were very excellent both in the Sacred Valley Tour and in Macchu Picchu. The combined tour, with a sleep over in Machu Picchu village, is much better than going to Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu on separate days, because you have more time to explore Ollentaytambo. One important issue: in Machu Picchu, there are four routes. Make sure that you don't want to go on Route 1 (unless you can do two tours). Route 1 is beautiful, but it is just a panoramic view that does not let you go inside the village. My ticket was for Route 1, but I was able to purchase another ticket for Route 3. Route 3 is perfect. You can walk inside the village and the views are also absolutely perfect. Another tip: each Route takes 1 hour and a half. There is plenty of time to do two tours in one day. So once you book, buy another ticket to have this enhanced experience. Ask your tour operator for a late train to return to Cuzco. You can do two tours and have a nice lunch in one of the fine restaurants near the train station (by the river). And plan everything ahead. Tickets sell months in advance. But having said all that, I would strongly recommend this package. The best way to know Machu Picchu! We did in my wife's birthday and was one of the best days I can remember.

The most memorable trip to Machu Picchu
It was fantastic! I was not expecting that high since I failed to book Machu Picchu entrance ticket on line and I understood it would be very hard to get the physical one on site during this peak season. Fortunately with the help of Nixon team I managed to get the pre-ticket right after I arrived at the Aguas Clentis town at 9pm, while quite a lot of tourists spent more than 10 hours waiting in line! How lucky I am! Nixon’s team is very helpful during the whole trip, I had such a great memory even exceeding my expectation. I chose 3A and I spent almost 6 hours there in Michu Picchu. Every single moment and each angle was so fantastic that I would never forget in the rest of my life.

Perfect machupichu trip
Coordinating the tour with Nixon was amazing and very easy. He took care of every thing and all the tickets on time. The hotel we got in Aguas Calientes was amazing, restaurants he took us to had great service and yummy food. Our tour guide to machu pichu was Victor and his knowledge of the history, culture, and significance of Machu Picchu was truly impressive. He explained everything in a way that was both engaging and easy to understand, bringing the ancient Inca civilization to life as we walked through the ruins. Thank you Nixon

2 Day Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu Tour by Train: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.
How much does 2 Day Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu Tour by Train cost?
+
Prices start at $360 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 2 Day Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu Tour by Train take?
+
Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.
Is 2 Day Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu Tour by Train worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 2 Day Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu Tour by Train?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is 2 Day Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu Tour by Train suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 2 Day Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu Tour by Train?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 2 Day Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu Tour by Train start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cusco?
+
On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Full-Day Humantay Lake Trek (Meals Included), Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cusco?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cusco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
