Thank you inkayni for an amazing experience to machu pichu

When I was researching companies for the 4-day Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, I really wanted to support a local company, and Inkayni Tours immediately stood out. From the moment I booked, the communication was excellent. Unfortunately, due to weather, the trail was closed and we were unable to do the full 4-day hike. We decided to do the Express 2-day hike instead, and throughout what was a very stressful and uncertain time, the communication and support from Inkayni were incredible. They truly went the extra mile to make sure our group could still experience part of the Inca Trail and make our way to Machu Picchu. Our guide, Papa Freddie, was absolutely amazing. His knowledge of the Inca culture, history and spirituality was incredible, and he went above and beyond throughout the entire experience. We noticed that some of the other groups hiking the trail weren’t receiving anywhere near the same level of information and insight that Freddie shared with us, which really made our experience feel special and personal. I would highly recommend Inkayni Tours to anyone travelling to Cusco. They are a smaller, locally owned company that genuinely cares about their clients and making sure you have the best experience possible. Thank you again to the entire Inkayni team for looking after us during such a stressful and unpredictable time, and a very special thank you to Papa Freddie! 🙏🏼❤️

Lifetime memories!

What an amazing and magical experience we had!! Although the trail is hard with steep section of stairs, our guide, Jose Cesar, made the whole journey so pleasant that we would do it again without hesitation. I am leaving this experience with lifetime memories!

Five stars for Ernesto

Ernesto was fantastic to hike with. Set a great pace and stopped enough to allow us to enjoy the view, take some photos to capture the memories and share information about the history and culture of the area.

Peru

Wow! What an incredible trip! Our guide, Ernesto, took great care of my father and I! We finally got to experience Peru and the beauty of Machu Picchu and Ernesto really helped us to learn about the traditional Inca people with a very positive and upbeat attitude! I highly recommend Ernesto and our driver Guido for your next trip to Peru and beyond!! Thank you for the memories!!!

Wonderful time!

I went with my Mom towards the end of July and we had the most wonderful time! Ernesto was a great guide and provided a lot of good information over our two days together. The timing of everything was great, we got to see everything we hoped to without feeling rushed.

2-Day Private Tour of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.

How much does 2-Day Private Tour of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu cost?

+

Prices start at $627 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 2-Day Private Tour of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu take?

+

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.

Is 2-Day Private Tour of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 142 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 2-Day Private Tour of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is 2-Day Private Tour of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 48-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book 2-Day Private Tour of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu?

+

Around 50 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 2-Day Private Tour of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cusco?

+

On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Peruvian Cooking Class Cocktails and Market Tour in Cusco, Excursion to Rainbow Mountain Full Day Optional Red Valley. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cusco?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cusco?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
