    Once in a lifetime adventure

An incredible experience! Bucket list item for our group, celebrating a milestone birthday. Josias was an awesome tour guide, very knowledgeable, friendly, engaging and passionate about sharing the culture and history. The hike itself was perfect, easy to moderate and camping overnight made it a true adventure! Every meal exceeded our expectations; everything was delicious. We were impressed! If you're considering this trek, do it. You won't regret it. We had a blast! Thanks, Josias. PS- The weather during the last week of June was perfect for this hike. Mountain daytime temps in the upper 70s. It couldn't have been better.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled you chose to celebrate such a special milestone with us. We'll be sure to share your kind words with Josias, he'll be delighted to hear them. We're so glad you enjoyed the hike, camping, and meals. Thank you for recommending us, and we hope to welcome you back for another adventure in Peru! Thanks to travelers like you, our contributions through The Responsible People Foundation are possible, helping address four critical needs in high Andean communities: health, nutrition, education, and climate change.

Incredibly perfect 2-day hike to Machu Picchu

We had an incredibly perfect 2-day hike on the Inca trail to Machu Picchu with our guide Sara. Super nice views and a good rest in the tent. The explanations from Sara were great in Spanish and English and the food was stunning. Also our 8-year old son had a blast!

Beautiful and comfortable trek with 1 night in tents

Had a lovely experience with Sara as our tour guide, she was very knowledgeable, friendly and last but not least a good photographer! We enjoyed amazing food and slept very comfortable at a camping site near Aguas Calientes. On the second day of the tour we entered the Circuit 3 inside Machu Picchu which was incredible. The hike itself on the first day from Km 104 is easy to moderate and you will noticeably appreciate the lower altitude compared to Cusco.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review! We're so happy to hear you had a great 2-day Inca Trail experience with Sara. We're glad you enjoyed her knowledge, hospitality, photography, the delicious food, and comfortable camping. Thank you for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable adventure in Peru! Loved our Guide!!

Our guide, Andrea was so kind. She kept a good pace on the Inca Trail - she was very knowledgeable about her cultures history, and we could feel that she was passionate about sharing that knowledge. We are happy to have this experience and would recommend Andrea and Inca Trail Machu!

This a beautiful, magical place. When one leaves Peru, on leaves a little bit of their heart behind.

The guide and crew were amazing. I would not have been able to reach Choquequirao without their help. I am really grateful. Their love their country and their work clearly shone through.

2 Day Inca Trail with Camping: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.

How much does 2 Day Inca Trail with Camping cost?

    +

Prices start at $580 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 2 Day Inca Trail with Camping take?

    +

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.

Is 2 Day Inca Trail with Camping worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 2 Day Inca Trail with Camping?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is 2 Day Inca Trail with Camping suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 2 Day Inca Trail with Camping?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 2 Day Inca Trail with Camping start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cusco?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Full-Day Humantay Lake Trek (Meals Included), Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cusco?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cusco?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What happens to 2 Day Inca Trail with Camping if the weather is bad?

    +

It generally runs rain or shine, so dress for the forecast in Cusco. Standard cancellation terms apply.

What do travelers say about 2 Day Inca Trail with Camping?

    +

Across 12 reviews averaging 4.9 out of 5, recurring themes include the guide, knowledge and storytelling, food and drink. Travelers single out the guide as the reason the experience works. One thing to know: Expect real walking or climbing: reviewers mention the effort involved.
