The Island represents part of an ancient volcano that erupted about 40 million years ago. The large, jagged rocks found throughout the area are Waverly Heights Basalt that were formed by lava flows and may be the oldest exposed rocks in the Portland area. Superb Service, Beautiful View
The service and atmosphere is superb. All of the staff are super friendly and professional. Really enjoyed the appetizers and my short rib entree. The bar mixes great drinks, also. We have in the past gone on wine tasting cruises and it was great fun. Highly recommend.

Evening river and bridge cruise
We were very pleased with our meal and the serving staff. The food was very tasty. The cruise up and down the river was also pleasant, seeing parts of our city we’ve never seen before. A very enjoyable experience.
