    Hike through tea plantations

If you’re short on time but still want to experience the beauty of Munnar, this day trip is a great option. Be prepared for a 4-hour drive each way on winding mountain roads — it’s a bit long, but the views along the way help make up for it. The highlight of the trip was definitely the 3-hour hike through the tea plantations. The landscape is absolutely stunning and well worth the journey. Just make sure to dress appropriately and wear good walking shoes — the terrain can be uneven in places. We had stops for breakfast and lunch, which were both simple but satisfying. Overall, this tour is a solid choice if you’re looking to make the most of a tight schedule and still soak in some of Munnar’s natural charm.

Response from the operator: Hi Brooke,We wanted to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude for choosing our service during your short stay in Cochin. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the Munnar tour and thanking you for the review. We would be immensely grateful if you could share your positive experience with your friends and family who may be seeking a similar tour. Thank you once again for your remarkable review. Warm Regards Stanley Wilson and Team.

Kochi and 2 days in Munnar

In 2023 I was fortunate to stay with Jasmin and Stanley at their guesthouse for a few days allowing me to explore Cochin at my leisure after a delicious and filling breakfast. I thoroughly enjoyed discovering the beautiful backwaters with Stanley’s Wilson Tours. Two years later I am back but only for one night before heading for hills and tea plantations at Munnar. Wilson Tours organised a two day visit with two guided treks, one in the afternoon where my knowledgeable guide Ramesh spotted 6 wild elephants and took me on a stunning sunrise trek where “God’s own country” reveals itself with the early morning light brings out the tea leaves’ multiple shades of green. I stayed at David’s Regency hotel in a large, clean room with balcony and enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast (half board). As with my reviews of 2023, I can only recommend Wilson Tours yet again to discover Cochin and the surrounding Kerala region.

Response from the operator: Hi Catherine ,We wanted to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude for choosing our service during your short stay in Cochin. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the Munnar tour and thanking you for the review. Warm Regards Stanley Wilson and Team

Thank you Firoz and Ramesh 🙏

We had a super experience on the daytrip to Munnar - really recommended if you don't have time to stay longer. Firoz was really friendly, a very safe driver and told us lots of interesting things about Kerala. The views in Munnar were beautiful with great stops for breakfast and lunch. We saw some beautiful views on our trek in the tea plantation - our guide, Ramesh, was very knowledgeable about plants and wildlife we saw.

Response from the operator: Hi Sam, We wanted to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude for choosing our service during your short stay in Cochin. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the Munnar tour and thanking you for the review. Warm Regards Stanley Wilson and Team

Perfect organization for 2 days in Munnar

2 days and one night to visit Munnar and its beautiful landscapes of tea plantations. The driver (Firoz), the guide for our 4d trekking in the plantations (Ramesh) and the hotel team (especially Robin, the super cook) allowed us to spend 2 beautiful days in Munnar. Stanley Wilson Tour was perfectly organized.

Response from the operator: Hi Olivier .Thanking you for the wonderful review about us. We are thrilled to hear that you had a wonderful experience in the backwater .Thanking you once again for the review and also for choosing our service. We look forward to the opportunity of meeting you again in the future. Regards Stanley Wilson & Team

12 Hours Private Munnar Tour from Kochi: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kochi.

How much does 12 Hours Private Munnar Tour from Kochi cost?

    +

Prices start at $119 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kochi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 12 Hours Private Munnar Tour from Kochi take?

    +

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kochi is not rushed.

Is 12 Hours Private Munnar Tour from Kochi worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kochi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 12 Hours Private Munnar Tour from Kochi?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 12 Hours Private Munnar Tour from Kochi suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 12 Hours Private Munnar Tour from Kochi?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kochi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kochi and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 12 Hours Private Munnar Tour from Kochi start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kochi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kochi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Kochi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kochi Sightseeing Tuk-Tuk Tour, Local Kochi Sightseeing Tuk-Tuk Tour, Kochi Sightseeing Tuk-Tuk Tour with Pickup From Cruise Ships. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kochi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kochi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
