Best Ever
We had the best Safari experience ever. Our amazing guid was Ombeni. He was able to track all those animals for us to see and many more. He took such a good care of our family that we could not thank him enough. We highly recommend him!!!!
Response from the operator: What a lovely message to read! We've passed it straight on to Ombeni, and we know it will make his week. Families bring a special energy to a safari, and it's clear he enjoyed having you in his vehicle as much as you enjoyed the drives. Thank you for choosing Gosheni, and give our best to the whole family!

Exceptional Tanzania Safari with Gosheni Safaris and an Outstanding Guide Calvin Kileo
We have just completed a 6 day safari in Tanzania with Gosheni Safaris, and the experience exceeded all our expectations. From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized. The itinerary was well planned, the accommodations were excellent, and every transfer and activity went smoothly. We felt safe, comfortable, and well taken care of throughout the entire trip. The highlight of our safari was undoubtedly our guide, Calvin Kileo. Calvin is an exceptional professional: knowledgeable, passionate about wildlife, patient, friendly, and always attentive to our needs. His ability to spot animals, explain their behaviour, and position the vehicle for the best viewing opportunities made every game drive unforgettable. Thanks to Calvin, we were able to see an incredible variety of wildlife, including all of the Big Five, and learn so much about Tanzania's nature. His enthusiasm and positive attitude made every day enjoyable. A special thank you to Calvin for turning a great safari into a truly memorable adventure. He is one of the best guides we have ever met, and we highly recommend requesting him if you book with Gosheni Safaris. Thank you, Gosheni Safaris, for an amazing family experience. We would not hesitate to recommend your company to anyone planning a safari in Tanzania.

Unforgettable safari with George
Wow!!!!! This was the first safari we’ve ever done and I’m not sure how it could get better than this! This was truly all thanks to our amazing guide, George. George went above and beyond to make this trip smooth, comfortable, and absolutely unforgettable. He was so professional, but also so warm, friendly, and fun. He was always on time, and had nice touches like cleaning the car every day (you don’t think it’s necessary, but it makes everything so much more comfortable!) He is extremely knowledgeable about the animals, and shared so much about life in Tanzania as well. We came at the start of rainy season (sadly, it came very early this year) so the roads were very tricky to navigate. We saw so many other cars get stuck, but with George’s experience and discernment we always felt safe and that never happened to us. He knows all the best spots and angles for taking photos of animals—he loves photography himself so he tries to position us in a way where we get the best angles and lighting for the animals. He even shared his photos and videos that he took with his special lens with us since my iPhone was not cutting it. All the lodges that Gosheni organized for us to stay at were also stunning and so comfortable. Such a treat after long days of driving. If you want to support a 100% local company, i highly recommend Gosheni. I am sure all the Gosheni guides are amazing, but if you get George as your guide you will be extremely lucky! George, you are the best, thank you!
Response from the operator: Dear Yufang, Thank you for this outstanding review. For a first safari, expectations are high — and I’m very pleased to hear it exceeded them. George will be proud of your words. Professional, punctual, warm, and disciplined — that combination is exactly what we expect from our senior guides. Cleaning the vehicle daily may seem like a small detail, but on a multi-day safari it makes a big difference in comfort and overall experience. Standards matter. You came at the start of rainy season, which is never easy. Early rains make Ndutu and Serengeti roads unpredictable. Many vehicles get stuck because drivers push without reading the ground properly. Experience and judgment are what keep guests safe and on schedule. I’m glad George handled those conditions with confidence and care. Positioning for photography is another real skill. Light direction, background, distance, and animal behavior all matter. A guide who understands photography can turn a normal sighting into a memorable one. The fact that he shared his own photos shows pride in his work and genuine care for your experience. I’m also pleased the lodges met your expectations. After long game drives, comfort and proper rest are essential. We are careful with our accommodation partners because the overall safari experience depends on that balance between wilderness and comfort. Thank you as well for recognizing that Gosheni Safaris is 100% locally owned and operated. We are proud to be a Tanzanian company, built from the ground up, and today recognized as one of the most awarded safari operators in Tanzania and across Africa. But awards only matter if they reflect real delivery on the ground — strong guiding, reliable vehicles, and consistent service. Your feedback confirms that. We truly appreciate your support and recommendation. When you return to Tanzania — and I hope you do — we will be ready to welcome you again.

INCREDIBLE Safari trip!!!
We just finished a 10-day Tanzania safari with Gosheni, and our guide George made it absolutely unforgettable. If you’re booking a safari, request him — you won’t regret it. We traveled through Serengeti, Ndutu, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire and saw an incredible amount of wildlife, including the Big Five. George somehow always knew where to go and could spot animals we would have driven right past. His knowledge of the animals and ecosystems made every sighting even more special. He’s also an excellent driver — the off-roading in Ndutu can be intense, but we always felt safe and comfortable. He was patient, never rushed us, and made the whole trip feel relaxed and personal. He even took amazing photos and videos throughout the trip and shared them with us afterward, which was such a great touch. We also loved the cultural experience he arranged, and every lodge we stayed at was fantastic. George is friendly, professional, and truly passionate about what he does. We’re already talking about coming back and would choose him again without hesitation. Highly recommend Gosheni and George to anyone planning a Tanzania safari!
Response from the operator: Dear Jason, Thank you for this powerful review. A 10-day safari across Serengeti, Ndutu, Ngorongoro, and Tarangire is a serious circuit — and when it’s done properly, it becomes exactly what you described: unforgettable. Seeing the Big Five across those ecosystems means your timing and positioning were right. That’s not accidental. George understands animal movement, seasonal patterns, and how to work each area differently. Serengeti plains require a different strategy than Ndutu’s open off-road zones or the structured roads inside Ngorongoro Crater. Knowing where to be — and when — is what separates a driver from a professional guide. You’re also correct about Ndutu. Off-roading there can be demanding, especially during migration season. Vehicle control, mechanical awareness, and reading the terrain are critical. I’m glad you always felt safe and comfortable. That balance of adventure and security is non-negotiable for us. Patience in the field is another key quality. Rushing guests kills the experience. A relaxed pace, good positioning, and allowing you time to absorb sightings makes a big difference over 10 days. I’m also pleased you valued the photos and videos George shared. That extra effort shows pride in his work. And incorporating cultural experiences alongside wildlife adds depth — safari is not just animals, it’s understanding the land and people. Thank you for recognizing both George and Gosheni Safaris. We build our reputation on strong guiding, reliable vehicles, and well-chosen lodges — not shortcuts. When you’re ready to return, we’ll be here. And George will be ready too.

My ten cents for those who are going to Safari in Tanzania for the first time
We had five college classmates going this time. One of us is a very experienced traveler who has been to different safaris for ten times. So he planned the whole trip. I suggestion is that do your own planning as the experience could be very different. For example, you cannot go off-road in national parks, and we actually spent more time out of Serengeti. We had an excellent driver Bariki who later told us that our experience is better than some of the professional photographers.
Response from the operator: Dear Aaron, Thank you for taking the time to share your honest feedback and for choosing Gosheni Safaris for your Tanzania adventure. Traveling as a group of classmates — especially with someone experienced in multiple safaris — always brings high expectations. We appreciate your practical advice to future travelers. Tanzania’s national park regulations, including restrictions on off-road driving in certain areas, are designed to protect the ecosystem. Understanding these rules in advance helps shape realistic expectations and ultimately leads to a smoother experience. We are very pleased to hear your kind words about Bariki. He is one of our senior and most dependable safari guides. His strength is not just in driving, but in reading wildlife behavior, understanding positioning, and managing time inside the parks to maximize sightings within the regulations. When a guide can deliver an experience that stands strong even compared to professional photography safaris, that speaks to real field expertise. We are proud to have him on our team and will make sure your message reaches him. As a locally owned Tanzanian tour operator, Gosheni Safaris focuses on operational excellence — experienced guides, well-maintained vehicles from our own fleet, and practical itinerary execution. Over the years, this approach has made us one of the most awarded safari companies in Tanzania. Recognition matters, but what matters more is consistent delivery on the ground. Thank you again for traveling with us and for sharing insights that will help other first-time safari travelers prepare properly. We hope to welcome you back to Tanzania in the future.

+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 38 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Moshi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

+

Is 10-Day Wildebeest Migration Calving Safari -All Inclusive suitable for kids and families?
+

How far in advance should I book 10-Day Wildebeest Migration Calving Safari -All Inclusive?
+
Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Moshi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Moshi and add a light layer if any part of the 240-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Moshi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Moshi?
+
On Outty we rank every Moshi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfall, Coffee Tour and Picnic Hot Lunch, Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Plantation Half Day Tour, Kilimanjaro climb, Machame Route (7-day). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Moshi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Moshi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
