A not to be missed experience in Morocco
This place is awesome the accommodations and food and staff is worth every stars, it is first class and not to be missed if in Morocco. THE ROOM beautiful furnishings, clean, working AC, very comfortable. THE FOOD delicious home cooking by Berbers, presented family style with love and care. THE ENTERTAINMENT was so awesome and all guests were invited to take part in music and dance around a camp fire. THE CAMEL RIDE not to be missed, you will see the beautiful sunset and you will be invited to ride in the morning to see the sunrise.

Interesting but to do out of winter. Stay longer 1 full day, would be interesting
Meet at the hotel at 4 pm for the dromedary departure for 90 minutes to the camp. Nice walk in the dunes at sunset with our guide who made us stops to take photos and chat with us. For the camp, there are about ten, next to each other and all comparable. Excellent Accommodation, Excellent Welcoming, the tents are very comfortable, boiling water for shower, very nice in the middle of winter. Very large beds, impeccable cleanliness. Delicious meals, dinner as breakfast. But freezing night in January with 5 degrees outside and maybe 8 degrees in the tent. Heating with make-up gas is insufficient and stopped at 1am. Fortunately, the blankets are really warm. Too bad it had to leave at 10am the next day, I would have liked to stay longer, to enjoy the view of the dunes and Algeria on the horizon.

Saharan Birthday Celebration
My wife and I are very pleased with this tour and would highly recommend it to everyone. Rachid was the tour operator and he is just a problem solver! Our flights did not line up because of a delay from a previous leg so we ended up coming from Casablanca. He arranged a ride for us, Mubarak was our driver and he was amazing. We stopped on the way to desert at local cafes and ate authentic Moroccan cuisine. We spent the night at camp on my wife's actual birthday and Rachid and his team really hooked it up. The camel ride to the camp was a great experience, seeing the sunset on the way. The camp itself was great and we had a great group from various places around the world. That night, Rachid and team got my wife a birthday cake and we had a little party. We all had a blast! I would highly recommend working with Rachid and his team any time! He made us feel safe and very comfortable the entire time. This overall experience made us really think about coming back again next year and make sure we spend more time in the country. If you're asking yourself if you should do it, DO IT! You will not regret it!

Nice experience
We stayed three days in Merzuga including one night in the desert in the camps. We went and returned with dromedaries (on the way back they made us choose between car and dromedary) and slept under the stars on mattresses lying on the ground. The desert is beautiful, the experience is clearly tailored for tourists, sleeping outside a bit worrying for a mother with her children lying next to her in the desert without a roof... but everything went great and there was no problem. The happy family.
Response from the operator: Siamo lieti di sapere che ti è piaciuta la tua esperienza con noi speranza di rivederti presto in Marocco, specialmente nel deserto del Merzouga! Fateci sapere se sono necessari servizi per la prossima visita. ✅whatsapp 00212667609371 ✅info@merzougadesert.info ✅merzougadesert.info

Amazing colors
Our driver took us to the parking area where a lot of activities are organized for the dunes and like some of the other reviewers mentioned there were small kids begging, lots of vehicles and the usual tourist bazaar that you could expect. We were met by a young guy with two camels and he led us out to the dunes where we were able to enjoy the late afternoon taking photos and watching as the light changed on the dunes. The colors and texture of the dunes were spectacular and we took a lot of fantastic photos. Before the sun went down we rode the camels to a camp and we were the only guests because the tourism sector hadn't fully recovered from the pandemic closures. There was a fire waiting for us and the room was quite nice with a private bathroom and a very comfortable bed. We had dinner and the hosts played us some music before we went to bed. In the morning we woke up early to see the sunrise and then had breakfast. They gave us the option of riding the camels back to the meeting point or taking a Landcruiser and we chose the Landcruiser because the morning temperatures were cold. Fantastic trip.

Why this scores 74
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
1 Night All inclusive Camel Ride & Desert Camp: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Merzouga.
How much does 1 Night All inclusive Camel Ride & Desert Camp cost?
+
Prices start at $42 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Merzouga usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 1 Night All inclusive Camel Ride & Desert Camp take?
+
Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Merzouga is not rushed.
Is 1 Night All inclusive Camel Ride & Desert Camp worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Merzouga, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 1 Night All inclusive Camel Ride & Desert Camp?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 1 Night All inclusive Camel Ride & Desert Camp suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 48-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 1 Night All inclusive Camel Ride & Desert Camp?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Merzouga can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Merzouga and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 1 Night All inclusive Camel Ride & Desert Camp start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Merzouga within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Merzouga?
+
On Outty we rank every Merzouga experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Camel Trekking & 1 Night in Merzouga Desert Camp, From Merzouga: 2-Nights In Luxury Camp with Camel Trek & Dinner., Overnight in Merzouga with unforgettable Sunset & Camel/Quad ride. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Merzouga?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Merzouga?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
