Terrible Service—Don’t Book with this Company

This was the tour I looked forward to the most while in Portugal. All other tours with other companies before and after this one were fabulous. This company provided us with a driver who barely spoke English and who didn’t know how to get anywhere. Communication was almost non-existent. We received no information from her about the area, history, recommendations, nothing. In Cascais we waited 45 minutes for her to pick us up. We asked for a new driver who was provided but had to wait at a gas station for him to get there. His English was a little better but he complained about the traffic and the police. He also didn’t seem well versed in where he was taking us. He would drop us off in one spot and then send me a Google maps pin of how to find him in a parking lot. All other tours in Portugal provide drivers who come to you and escort you to their vehicle. Service was extremely disappointing. The attractions offered for this tour are definitely worth seeing. However, I highly recommend booking with another company.

UNRESPONSIVE and failed to show up for the scheduled tour

The tour operator failed to respond to any messages (or phone calls) sent by me or directly by viator which left my group scrambling to find another tour the morning of our scheduled tour to Sintra.

    Great Trip and Tour Guide

This was a great day trip. Loved seeing all the different sites. Definitely get your tickets to Peña and Regaleira ahead of time. Recommend getting the ticket with the transportation from gate to palace at Peña. Be prepared for lines. Our tickets were for 11:30am. We got dropped off right at the gate at 11:00am (saved us so much walking.) We got up to the palace a little before 11:30am to get in the 11:30am group line and didn’t get into the palace until a little after 12:30pm. It was nice to be able to have the ticket ahead of time to skip the line entering Regaleira. Again, dropped off and picked up right at the gate. The other sites were a lot more leisurely. We stopped at several places along the way for photos in addition to Cabo da Roca and Boca de Inferno. Our driver, Aurelio, was fantastic. He was super friendly and flexible. He allowed us to take the time we needed at each place and adapted as things came up (like the lines at Peña.) He truly loves Lisbon and is a great ambassador, pointing out and making suggestions for different sites we should visit during our time. We was super attentive, wanting to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. It was great to spend the day with him.

Response from the operator: We are very glad you anjoyed the tour and that all went according to your expectations. Thank you very much for your evaluation and for such nice words, we're always glad when our customers appreciate our services Thank you again, and we hoe to see You soon!

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
