Kasbah du Pacha el Glaoui
The Kasbah Telouet, sometimes also called Glaoui Palace, is a kasbah built in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Located in the small Berber village of Telouet, in the rural town of Telouet, in the High Atlas Mountains, Morocco, its most famous occupant is probably Thami El Glaou. The current kasbah was built in 1860 by the Glaoua, next to an old kasbah whose remains are still visible today. It was subsequently greatly enlarged during the first half of the twentieth century by Thami El Glaoui. Legend has it that 300 workers worked for three years decorating ceilings and walls. These are made either of finely chiselled stucco, sometimes of zelliges for the walls, and cedar painted for the ceiling1. The roofs are made of ceramic tiles painted green. The result is a set of huge buildings, whose interior decoration shows an important wealth.

A nice day trip from Marrakesh.
All went smoothly and guides were very caring and informative. Only thing was one of the kasbah was closed. It was closed for a while and permanently after the earth quake so the company should be aware of it and remove it from the tour details. We only visited one place properly and come back to Marrakesh 1h30 earlier than their itinerary on Tripadvisor. Slightly disappointed.

Incredible one day trip across the Atlas Mountains to Ait Ben Haddou with our incredible driver and guide Tawfiq
We had a wonderful trip with Tilila tours from Marrakech to Ait Ben Haddou. The communication with Mohamed was extremely easy and friendly. We were picked up directly at our hotel by our guide and driver Tawfiq, who was the highlight of our trip. Tawfiq drove us safely across the Atlas Mountains and shared so much about Moroccan life and culture along the way. His playlist of international, was well as Moroccan and North African music was incredible and made the beautiful drive even more special. Tawfiq stopped at some beautiful spots along the way and was happy to put in some extra stops, including for delicious Italian coffee on the side of the road at our request. I definitely recommend this one day trip from Marrakech to explore more of what beautiful Morocco has to offer. Thanks again Tawfiq for making this trip very special.

Marrakech to Kasbah Ait Ben haddock & Telouet
Excellent communication from Mohamed (Tilila Travel), we were kept updated throughout. We were picked up in a mini bus even though there were only the two of us, great information provided by our driver Ahmed, always pointing out interesting things along the way, once we arrived, Ahmed arranged a guide for us, who was so knowledgeable, it was an incredibly hot day, but an experience we both enjoyed.

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
1-day private tour from Marrakech to Kasbah Ait Benhaddou & Telouet: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.
How much does 1-day private tour from Marrakech to Kasbah Ait Benhaddou & Telouet cost?
+
Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 1-day private tour from Marrakech to Kasbah Ait Benhaddou & Telouet take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.
Is 1-day private tour from Marrakech to Kasbah Ait Benhaddou & Telouet worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 1-day private tour from Marrakech to Kasbah Ait Benhaddou & Telouet?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 1-day private tour from Marrakech to Kasbah Ait Benhaddou & Telouet suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 12-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 1-day private tour from Marrakech to Kasbah Ait Benhaddou & Telouet?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 1-day private tour from Marrakech to Kasbah Ait Benhaddou & Telouet start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Marrakech?
+
On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, 3 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour Camel Rides and Overnight. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Marrakech?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Marrakech?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
