Our one-day private hike...
Our one-day private hike on Mount Parnitha with Dionysios was an excellent experience. The forest trail, and the hike itself was suitably paced for us. We’re both moderate hikers, and Dionysios made sure it was enjoyable. From the very start, communication was seamless, and everything was well organized. Dionysios is not only knowledgeable and professional but also genuinely warm and friendly. We had great conversations on our way to the trailhead. Overall, it was an enjoyable hike.
Response from the operator: Hello Joey, Thank you so much for your kind words, it truly means a lot. I really enjoyed guiding both of you and sharing this experience together. I’m glad to hear that the pace and the overall hike felt just right for you, and that you enjoyed both the trail and our time along the way. It’s always special for me to meet travelers who choose to start their journey here in Greece, and I’m very happy I got to be part of that. Wishing you a wonderful time for the rest of your travels and I hope you continue to enjoy every moment of your stay. All the best, Dionysis

Great hike with Dionysis
I had a wonderful experience! Dionysis was my guide. He messaged me 2 days prior to the hike (other companies message the day before and at times not until the end of the day) providing information about the hike. It is about 1hr drive from Athens. He’s also a good driver! Most of the hike is shaded which was a plus! There’s a bathroom available where we parked but since it was closed at the end he stopped somewhere on the way back for me to use. He made sure I was comfortable with the hiking pace. He gave many recommendations on Athens and other cities in Greece that I’ll be visiting. Thanks Dionysis
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words, Paula! It was such a pleasure guiding you on Parnitha and sharing a bit of the mountain’s beauty with you. I’m really happy to hear you felt comfortable throughout the hike. Wishing you an amazing time for the rest of your stay in Greece and wonderful experiences in all the other places you’ll be visiting! 🌿

Incredible Day Hiking Mount Parnitha with Dionysios
My husband and I did the one-day private hike on Mount Parnitha with Dionysios, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Athens. It’s a stunning walk with beautiful views throughout. We're both fit and hike regularly, and Dionysios paced the walk perfectly to suit us. We really appreciated that. Communication in the lead-up to the day was excellent. Everything was well organised, and we felt fully prepared. Dionysios is a genuinely lovely person, very friendly, easy to talk to, and the conversation flowed naturally. His English is exceptional, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Athens who wants to experience more than just the city centre and the crowds.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! It was truly a pleasure spending the day with both of you on Mount Parnitha — I’m really glad to hear it was one of the highlights of your time in Athens. You’re both lovely people and great company, and I also really enjoyed our hike together. It’s always a joy to guide fellow hiking enthusiasts who appreciate nature and good conversation. I hope our paths cross again one day — maybe on another mountain adventure! All the best, Dionysios

Easter hike to remember!
Dionysis took us out in a beautiful Easter morning to have a commune in nature and see the views from above the incredible city of Athens. Just my husband & I were rewarded with views that were a religious experience of natural beauty. We are fit and requested a good pace and we were not disappointed with the level of challenge. A special treat above and beyond his care & company was a traditional cracking of red Easter eggs at the top of the viewpoint. Would highly recommend.
Response from the operator: Dear Lori and Cody, Thank you so much for joining me on the Easter morning hike! I truly had a great time and really enjoyed our conversations along the way. It was a pleasure sharing the trail, the views, and the Easter traditions with you both. I hope our paths cross again in the future—either on another hike or somewhere out in the world! Warm wishes, Dionysis

Excellent! Could not have been any better!
Amazing!! Far far far beyond our expectations. Dionisis is fabulous, personable, went out of his way to pick us up, had a wonderful hike that was the best part of our entire trip!
Response from the operator: Wow, thank you so much for your kind words! It truly means a lot to receive such wonderful feedback. I had a great time with you too and really appreciated your energy and constant curiosity to explore. Wishing you all the best for the rest of your trip — may it be full of more great memories!

Why this scores 74
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
1 Day Parnitha Athens Private Hiking Tour with Hotel Pickup: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.
How much does 1 Day Parnitha Athens Private Hiking Tour with Hotel Pickup cost?
+
Prices start at $60 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 1 Day Parnitha Athens Private Hiking Tour with Hotel Pickup take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.
Is 1 Day Parnitha Athens Private Hiking Tour with Hotel Pickup worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 1 Day Parnitha Athens Private Hiking Tour with Hotel Pickup?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 1 Day Parnitha Athens Private Hiking Tour with Hotel Pickup suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 1 Day Parnitha Athens Private Hiking Tour with Hotel Pickup?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 1 Day Parnitha Athens Private Hiking Tour with Hotel Pickup start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Athens?
+
On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Athens?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Athens?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
