Great experience
Very good experience. Started with 7 waterfalls. Worth every penny. The views, the water and the fun slides. Ziplies were entertaining. Food was delicious and horse rides were calming. Also got to taste some hot chocolate and local organic coffee. I would recommend taking the tour with Daniel and Rosie.

This was my first coming to the DR. First time zip lining and horse back riding. It was very eventful and fun. Alot of fun and a lot of walking up step hills for the zip lining. Riding the horses was so much fun. I recommend 10 out of 10. Just make sure you dress very light because you can get over heated if you don't. July 23 2025. I couldn't load my pictures but just know to tke plenty of pictures.

5 Stars!
Country World absolutely exceeded all expectations! From the moment we arrived, the team was professional, prepared, and incredibly polite. We booked the waterfall, zip lining, and horseback riding adventure—and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. A special shoutout to our amazing guide, Rosairy. She treated us like family and made the entire day even more special. I started feeling sick from the heat while hiking up to the zip line, and she didn’t leave my side—helping me every step of the way with care and compassion. Her kindness truly meant the world. Every activity was well-organized and so much fun. If you’re looking for an adventure that’s both thrilling and heartfelt, Country World is the place. I can’t recommend them enough!
Response from the operator: Thanks a lot for the great and detailed review! We're glad to hear that you enjoyed your experience with us!

Great experience for my adventurous boys
Went with my husband and my 5 and 8 year old boys. Did the trip as a privately booked excursion off the NCL Encore. We had a fantastic time. They were so good with the boys. Both boys did all 8 zip lines and had a blast. I felt very comfortable with the attention to their safety. Also the lunch was fantastic. Fried chicken, plantains, rice and beans. Even my picky 8 year old enjoyed it.
Response from the operator: We highly appreciate the great review! Many thanks!

I wish the tour company and booking company talked.
I am in the Dominican Republic so as an American you cannot bring the water. I had ice and also rinsed my mouth several times. I started to feel terrible and missed my first scheduled date. They were very understanding and allowed me to reschedule. I wanted Friday viator said no Friday available bit talk to the tour people they have the latest say. They called and we scheduled for Friday. I get a call 6:45 Thursday saying they are waiting on us. Their mistake cost me an experience and $250.
Response from the operator: Dear Byron, Thank you for sharing your review. With all due respect, you know the details you have provided are not true. You originally reserved for October 8th, 2024, and requested pick up from the Agualina Kite Resort in Cabarete, 1.5 hours away from our location. Instantly you received a confirmation email including a link for a PDF, which contains all pick up times for Puerto Plata, Sosua and Cabarete. We additionally emailed you since you booked the Puerto Plata Pick Up option, which does not include transportation from Cabarete, probably to save the US$10 per person, which is the round-trip transportation fee included with the Sosua/Cabarete Pick Up option. Pick up in Cabarete is at 6:45AM. You received that information after booking and we re-confirmed it when we emailed you in regards the pickup option and the $20 transportation balance. When we got to your hotel you did not show up, so we called you. You said you were not going on the tour today, because you drank “Dominican water” and felt sick. Since we were already late to pick up our next guests, we advised the bus to leave and drive back to Puerto Plata. Later that day you had emailed Viator and called us to request to reschedule for October 10th, which was Thursday, not Friday. We agreed and emailed Viator to reschedule the booking for free to October 10th, even though you had us driving to your location, when being able to call or email earlier that you couldn’t go for the tour. Once again, we emailed you confirming that the tour is being rescheduled for October 10th with pick-up at 6:45AM. We explained you that due to the circumstances of you cancelling at pick up that you had to pay the transfer fee twice at pick up for October 8th and October 10th (US$40 total). No rescheduling fee was charged. You responded soon after with “No problem”. On October 10th we drove to Cabarete again to pick you up. After the bus had waited for 20 minutes at your resort, we tried calling you, however you did not pick up the phone and did not respond to our email. After a 25-minute wait at the lobby, we left to pick up other customers in Puerto Plata. You made us drive twice to Cabarete (6 hours driving time total) and never showed up. We can just assume that you had more “Dominican water” to drink. Honestly, we did not make any mistake. We showed good will, rescheduled for free, did not ask (unlike many other companies) for a medical certificate, provided pick up instructions many times and you still want to blame us that you couldn’t make the tour. We already offer great deals with discounted rates, compared to our competitors. It cost us a lot of money driving a bus with a tour guide 6 hours in vain. Unfortunately, you cannot expect to receive a refund when failing to show up twice and causing troubles and expenses to us. Hopefully, after reading this, you are willing to reconsider your review. All the best, Daniel

Why this scores 75
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Zip N Splash Adventure plus Horseback Riding: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Plata.
How much does Zip N Splash Adventure plus Horseback Riding cost?
+
Prices start at $125 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Plata usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Zip N Splash Adventure plus Horseback Riding take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Plata is not rushed.
Is Zip N Splash Adventure plus Horseback Riding worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 64 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Plata, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Zip N Splash Adventure plus Horseback Riding?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Zip N Splash Adventure plus Horseback Riding suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Zip N Splash Adventure plus Horseback Riding?
+
Around 22 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Plata can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Plata and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Zip N Splash Adventure plus Horseback Riding start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Plata within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Puerto Plata?
+
On Outty we rank every Puerto Plata experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Monkeyland and Zipline Adventure from Puerto Plata, Monkeyland Puerto Plata, Puerto Plata Highlights City Tours from amber cove and Taino bay. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Puerto Plata?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Puerto Plata?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
