    Michael was a wonderful...

Michael was a wonderful guide. He provided interesting facts about the geology and history of the Narrows. Plus, he did a great job of fielding the many questions from my 11 yr old son for the duration of the hike.

Response from the operator: Thank you for leaving a review, we appreciate it. I had a wonderful time with your family! Best, Michael.

Spend the extra money and book a private tour guide — it's worth every penny!!

Our private guided tour with Michael exceeded our expectations. Communication with him was great from the start, and we arrived fully prepared thanks to the poles, books, and socks he provided. Michael also had snacks on hand and put together the most delicious charcuterie spread for lunch. His personality was fun, and he stayed engaged with my kids, my spouse, and me the entire time. Michael really knew the terrain — choosing the best places to walk based on water level and rocks — and led us to the most stunning views. Since I love photography, I especially appreciated how he captured amazing photos of our family throughout the tour. He exceeded all our expectations, and we can't recommend him enough. Spend the extra money for a private guide — you won't be disappointed!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your review! It was great sharing one of my favorite places with your family. I hope you get to come back for more Utah adventures! Best, Michael

    Highly Recommend!!

This tour was Amazing!! We were truly so pleased. Moises was our guide and he was extremely professional and very knowledgeable of this area. The hiking boots provided were comfortable and honestly I can’t imagine walking The Narrows without them. Moises was great to move at our speed and he took lots of family pictures for us. The lunch provided was perfect and we really enjoyed our day. Highly recommend!!

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your review, I know Moises will be so pleased to read it! We hope you enjoyed the remainder of your time in Zion and Southern Utah! Best, Michael

    Hike of a life time!

I had always wanted to hike the Narrows but because we live in NC, getting to UT and Zion was not something we could easily do. But, when my family started to plan our National Parks trip to AZ and UT, I knew I had to figure out the best way to experience this hike - and DJ with Cedar and Sage did not disappoint! In fact, this tour was our family’s favorite of the entire trip!! From the moment we met DJ, I knew it was going to be fun, entertaining and informative. First, he fitted us with perfectly fitting shoes, even going back to the van to refit my husband after half way to the buses bc his boots were already starting to rub blisters. DJ was kind and accommodating! Second, he got us into the Narrows before the huge crowd rush and hiking so we could enjoy some peace. Coming back it was way more crowded so I’m so glad he had us up and moving early! Third, he was so fun and told us about cool rock carvings and formations during our hike. He took great pictures and led the way thru uneven, wet, slick rocks so we would know how to hike. He was personable and so easy to talk to! And, he included my 14 year old son, which is not something every tour guide chooses to do. Do yourself a favor and book with this company! First class service all the way!

Response from the operator: Thank you for reviewing your experience with DJ! We’re so happy you enjoyed your time, and got to experience The Narrows! Best, Michael

Zion Narrows: Private Guided Hike + Picnic (Gear Included): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Zion National Park.

How much does Zion Narrows: Private Guided Hike + Picnic (Gear Included) cost?

    +

Prices start at $364 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Zion National Park usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Zion Narrows: Private Guided Hike + Picnic (Gear Included) take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Zion National Park is not rushed.

Is Zion Narrows: Private Guided Hike + Picnic (Gear Included) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 290 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Zion National Park, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Zion Narrows: Private Guided Hike + Picnic (Gear Included)?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Zion Narrows: Private Guided Hike + Picnic (Gear Included) suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Zion Narrows: Private Guided Hike + Picnic (Gear Included)?

    +

Around 102 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Zion National Park can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Zion National Park and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Zion Narrows: Private Guided Hike + Picnic (Gear Included) start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Zion National Park within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Zion National Park?

    +

Zion trips centre on the Narrows and Angels Landing, canyoneering in slot canyons, e-bike rides along the scenic drive and Bryce Canyon combination days. Permit handling and gear rental inclusions are the biggest quality differences here. On Outty we rank every Zion National Park experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Award Winning UTV Slot Canyon Tour, East Zion 4 Hour Slot Canyon Canyoneering UTV Tour, East Zion Crimson Canyon Hike & UTV Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Zion National Park?

    +

April to May and September to October. Summer means early starts. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Zion National Park?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
