Gubalowka
Being in Zakopane, it is absolutely necessary to take the cable car to the top of Gubałówka (1123 m asl). A modern car with a glass roof allows the railway to climb upwards, wonderfully admiring the evident multi-storey arrangement of the Tatra vegetation with the peaks of high mountains in Poland. There are many attractions at the top, most of all, a wonderful panorama of the Tatra Mountains, an uninterrupted view of the mountain Zakopane located at the foot of the mountain and the possibility of relaxing in the sunshine. On 06.10 - 10.10 the Gubałówka cable car will be closed due to maintenance work. Instead, our tour will travel as high as possible by car and take a short walk to the viewpoint. As a compensation, our guests will receive a lunchbox of their choice, at our expense and in addition there will be a mulled wine tasting. We will contact you via WhatsApp or email before the tour to discuss your preferred lunchbox.

Fine trip that was very well organised and with a great guide
Fine trip that was very well organised and with a great guide. And nice to end the trip with the thermal baths. However too many souvenir-shops for my taste in Zakopane and on top of the funicular ride.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the well-organized trip, our guide, and the relaxing visit to the thermal baths. We understand your comments regarding the number of souvenir shops in Zakopane and on Gubałówka, although these are part of the local tourist areas and are outside our control. Kind regards, Karolina

Great day out!
Great experience. Really good admission fee for the day trip. Length of visit about 10.5 hours from 8.25am pick up to 7pm drop off. Really good atmosphere and mini bus ride of about 20 people. Stepan (apologise if spelt wrong) was a great guide and Lucas was a great driver. About 1.5 hour drive out of Krakow then stops to see the wooden house, goat cheese and vodka tasting and then into Zakopane. There is a funicular up to the mountain at Zakopane and then the town to explore it was definitely more crowded at the top of the mountain but a lovely view. The thermal spa was a highlight lots of areas to explore and the 16+ area was so relaxing and chill!
Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for your fantastic review! We're delighted to hear you had such a great experience and enjoyed the full itinerary, from the wooden houses and cheese & vodka tasting to Zakopane and the thermal baths. We're happy that Stepan and Lucas helped make your day special. We hope to welcome you again for another memorable trip! Best regards, Piotr

Why this scores 83
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Zakopane Day Tour from Krakow with Tasting and Funicular ride: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krakow.
How much does Zakopane Day Tour from Krakow with Tasting and Funicular ride cost?
+
Prices start at $49 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krakow usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Zakopane Day Tour from Krakow with Tasting and Funicular ride take?
+
Plan for about 11 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krakow is not rushed.
Is Zakopane Day Tour from Krakow with Tasting and Funicular ride worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 181 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Krakow, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Zakopane Day Tour from Krakow with Tasting and Funicular ride?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Zakopane Day Tour from Krakow with Tasting and Funicular ride suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 11-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Zakopane Day Tour from Krakow with Tasting and Funicular ride?
+
Around 63 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krakow can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krakow and add a light layer if any part of the 11-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Zakopane Day Tour from Krakow with Tasting and Funicular ride start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krakow within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Krakow?
+
On Outty we rank every Krakow experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Complete Cracow Bike Tour (small group of maximum 15 people!), Krakow–Zakopane: Cable Car, Chocholow Baths, Cheese & Vodka, Krakow: Zakopane & Hot Springs Tour with Cable Car (Hotel Pickup). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Krakow?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Krakow?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
