Get to know Zadar the way locals actually experience it. Small groups, never more than 10, with a guide who knows every vendor, every story, and every corner of the old town. The market is its heart. Families from nearby islands and the hinterland have been bringing their produce here for generations. Seasonal vegetables, freshly caught fish, homemade cheese, and sun-dried figs. It changes with the seasons, but the rhythm never does. We'll take you through it the way a local would, without the rush and without the tourist trail. Five traditional tastings, a morning coffee, and a glass of local wine to finish. Two hours that feel nothing like a tour and everything like a morning well spent in Dalmatia.

Tour with Zadarfoodtours
We, a family of 4, met Niko and Mascha at the food market and had an awesome experience. Though it wasn’t our first time in Zadar they made us see the city with other eyes. We tried regional food as cheese, ham and even Girice. On our tour we met lovely people, as Tonka from Tomka Bread, who dedicate themselves to authentic croatien products and history. Next time we’re in Zadar - we definitely will do a tour again. Thank you for having us.
Response from the operator: Dear Jenni, thanks so much for taking the time to write this awesome review! We'd love to welcome your family the next time you're in Zadar :)

Real taste of local life!
We had an amazing time on the Zadar City Market Food Tour! I joined with a group of friends, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience fun from start to finish. We loved exploring the market, meeting local vendors, and tasting a variety of fresh local products, cheeses, prosciutto, and wine. It was a great way to learn about the local culture and food traditions while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of Zadar. Everything was well organized, and the small group setting made the experience feel personal and relaxed. We left full, happy, and with a much better understanding of the city and its culinary heritage. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Zadar!
