Windy Thrill ride to gorgeous part of Jamaica
The travel from Montego Bay is not for faint of heart. It is a very windy and curvy road through lush jungle to get to Appleton Estate. The drive is well worth it. Appleton Estates tour starts off with a cold beverage and walks through the history of plantation. Peter was very attentive and kept the tour very interactive. Best distillery tour ever been on. YS Falls is a nice little chill spot. Our guide grabbed phone and took photos and videos of entire walk through falls. Let’s us swim as much as pleased. Was not rushed at all.

Fun times at Ys fall n appleton
Loved this tour the YS falls is great for both the young and the seasoned folks! Appleton was also a delight from learning the history of the rum making, to seeing how they actually extract the juice from the cane and tasting the different aged rum! Our driver Howard and tour guide Sherida were beyond epic! We literally became like a family and forever friends. They made us feel at home with them!! Do request these lovely individuals from Chukka and Nexxus!!!

Pristine YS Falls and Delightful Appleton Rum
We booked this tour through Chukka and it was a wonderful fun filled adventure. Our tour guides, Sherida, Elliott, and driver, Oneil , were fantastic. They did everything to make the tour as enjoyable as possible. YS falls are absolutely beautiful and unspoiled with all the excessive crowds that are usually at the falls on the North Coast, at least on the day we were there. Appleton Estate part of the tour was also quite enjoyable and informative in the history of rum making in the Jamaica. The guides, bartender, and restaurant staff were friendly attentive. On our way back it was raining heavily and we were hungry, so Sherida made sure we were able to stop and pick up some delicious fish dishes from Sweet Spot in Negril, on our back to our hotel. I would say that was definitely the perfect ending to a great day excursion filled with fun and rum!

The ride from Montego Bay...
The ride from Montego Bay was longer than I expected, almost 3 hours but the ride was comfortable. I felt a little rushed at YS falls but it was still great being in the waterfall and jumping off the rope swing.

This is a must!!!
We booked the trip through viator and we got assigned Jamaica Mesmerizing Tours. The activity is totally worth it. We went to YS falls first, had lunch there and then visited the Appleton State. We were four of us (two couples) and we took a private tour. We had so much fun at the falls!! The visit at the Rum factory was also excellent!! they have it very well organized, and our guide for the tour was hilarious and made our experience memorable. The rum tasting session was enjoyable. My only (minor) criticism is that you only get to taste three rums, the 4,8,12 years, plus the welcome rum you get at the entrance. I would suggest that they include another ticket where you can get to taste the 21 year old also, and maybe another one. After so much anticipation, you would like to know how the 12 compares to the 21.. Our driver for the day, Renardo, was fantastic. He went out of his way to accommodate some minor requests we had along the way, and he told us a lot of things about the country that you can only learn from a real Jamaican. In fact we liked him so much, that we hired him the next day for a trip to Kingston, the following day for a visit to Dunn's river falls and the Blue hole and for our transfer to the airport. He is that good!!
