Tailored Tour Results in a Great Experience

My wife, 2 adult daughters and I had a great day touring the Yarra Valley with Paul. I had worked with him several weeks in advance to tailor one of his premier tours to one that better fit our wants and needs. Paul was easy to work with and we got exactly what we wanted. As a driver/guide Paul was timely, professional and very personable. His knowledge of the area and sights was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on this tour. I would highly recommend Melbourne Elite Tours for your time in Melbourne!

Response from the operator: Thanks for the lovely review Stephen. I had a great time showing all of you the Yarra Valley. It really is a great day out!

Look no further than Paul for ALL your tours!

Paul was amazing to work with setting up both of our tours and making recommendations / changes as our schedule changed several times. His patience and knowledge was invaluable to us and we can’t thank him (or recommend him) enough. From the Yarra Valley to the Penguin Parade he had us covered in style and armed with all the information and history we needed to make our stay perfect in Melbourne. If we had it to do over, we would have Paul also take us to Grampions and Great Ocean Road - he makes everything more informative and easier.

Response from the operator: Thanks so much for the great review Donna. It was a pleasure taking yourself and Greg on the tours of the Yarra Valley and Phillip Island. I hope you enjoyed the Great Ocean Road and the Grampians on your self drive tour. If you or your friends ever come back to Melbourne please let me know. Cheers Paul

    Amazing experience

From the very beginning of booking the tour several months before we did the tour Paul was amazing to deal with. Paul responded quickly to questions. Leading up to the day of the tour and on the day of the tour Paul communicated with us about the weather forecast and had umbrellas ready for us. He met us at Station Pier Melbourne and his Mercedes V Class vehicle was so comfortable for the six of us. We had morning tea in Healesville then off to the Four Pillars Gin Distillery at Healesville for tasting. The story of how Four Pillars started and the gin, staff and location were great. Then off to Rochford Winery for an absolutely delicious lunch followed by wine tasting. After that to Chocolaterie then back to the ship. We were advised the day before we docked the ship was disembarking earlier and Paul accommodated the earlier departure. If you are in Melbourne highly recommend Paul. Amazing day

Response from the operator: Thanks so much Eileen for the lovely review. I thoroughly enjoyed taking all of you to the Yarra Valley for the day and it makes it so worth while seeing guests enjoy the day. I hope to see you all again in Melbourne some time soon.

Yarra Valley Wineries Private Day Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Melbourne.

How much does Yarra Valley Wineries Private Day Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $765 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Melbourne usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Yarra Valley Wineries Private Day Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Melbourne is not rushed.

Is Yarra Valley Wineries Private Day Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Melbourne, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Yarra Valley Wineries Private Day Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Yarra Valley Wineries Private Day Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Yarra Valley Wineries Private Day Tour?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Melbourne can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Melbourne and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Yarra Valley Wineries Private Day Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Melbourne within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Melbourne?

    +

On Outty we rank every Melbourne experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Melbourne: Yarra Valley Wine, Gin, Whisky and Chocolate Tour, Yarra Valley Wine Tour w Exclusive Gin, Cider & Chocolate Tasting, Yarra Valley Wine Tour from Melbourne - Choc, Gin & Good Times. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Melbourne?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Melbourne?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
