Good trip of Taj

The best day! Perfect tour for Solo Female traveller
I had the best day travelling to Agra to see the Taj Mahal & Agra Fort with Sailja as my guide and Praveen as my driver. I was coming from Gurugram. They made it an awesome experience, with lots of great conversation in the car making it a fun car trip both there and back! Praveen is an excellent driver, very safe and considerate - had lots of water etc and made sure we went to really nice bathrooms etc on the way there and back. At one of the stops he shared some of his home cooking with us - Daal & Chapati and it was delicious, and just shows how generous and lovely he is. Shailja was an excellent guide, navigating some of the busier sections of the tour within the landmarks with ease and making it so seamless for me. She was extremely knowledgeable around the history of the Taj and Agra Fort. In general though it was nice just hanging out with Shailja, she was so friendly and we just had a fun time! Shailja also made sure to take heaps of awesome photos of me. I would really recommend this tour, and Shailja /Praveen in particular if you’re like me and travelling to India alone. I’m here on a work trip but had a spare day, so it was nice to be able to sightsee and learn about the rich history in such a comfortable, fun and easy way. Some other things to note - I bought the tour with the food included and that was delicious. Also included in the tour is going to an artisan workshop to see how they make the marble inlay artworks and that was really special. All in all a perfect day!

What I was looking for!
This tour was exactly what I was looking for. Sylvi was a thoughtful and lovely host. She arrived at my hotel with our driver and was a wonderful companion for the day from drop off to pick up. I was very thankful for her. We met up with our guide Arzoo in the city of Agra. Arzoo very capably led us through the ticket booths and around the crowds. She was knowledgeable, sharing lots of detail on the history and architecture of both the Taj and the Agra Fort. She enthusiastically answered all my questions. I really appreciated how all the details of the trip were well organized and smooth. Like the other reviewers I did not enjoy visiting the stitching or marble demonstration and shops. The merchants were not pushy and they were perfectly polite and pleasant. The demonstrations were even interesting. Still,I was uncomfortable being led behind curtains to obscure rooms to be shown artifacts. At our second shop, when I expressed that I did not want to take the ‘tour’, Arzoo and the others respected my preference and we went on our way. If I were traveling with a group I likely would have been more comfortable with these stops. All in all, this tour was excellent and I recommend to other single female travellers.
