Coffee and Development
A great day trip from Kigali to learn about the agricultural coop TUK from its members plus the Question Coffee retail connection with their knowledgeable baristas. The drive also provides an opportunity to see smaller communities off the standard tourist roads.
Response from the operator: Thank you for joining us! We’re glad you enjoyed discovering TUK Cooperative, meeting its members, and connecting their story to Question Coffee.

Breathtaking scenery
We had an amazing trip to the TUK farm. First, the farm is breathtaking so wandering around it, in of itself, is worth the trip alone. The cooperative women are beautiful, greet you with song and dance and give an incredibly informative demonstration of how coffee is grown and processed. I learned so much about coffee! And now I will savor each sip instead of chug it down like an overtired worker-bee. Thank you Question Coffee for a great time, and for making such delicious and meaningful coffee. What a treat!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful review! We're thrilled you enjoyed the TUK farm and the experience with our cooperative partner. We look forward to welcoming you back anytime. Enjoy every sip!

Well worth the price
Absolutely excellent. The drive to the TUK plantation is worth the price alone. Very scenic with an incredibly safe and experienced driver. The tour itself is informative and the women are very hospitable, knowledgable, and inspirational. And the coffee itself is excellent. Coffee cupping (tasting) and a hearty meal on the gorgeous grounds of a women-led cooperative are included. One of the best tours I've ever done.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re delighted you enjoyed the journey, the hospitality of the women at TUK, and the coffee experience. Your appreciation truly means a lot to us and our partners.

I'm So Glad I Did This Trek
My experience with the Women-led Coffee Farm Trek exceeded my expectations. I was the only traveler on the tour. Still, the women were so gracious with their time and attention in showing me how they farm and process the coffee beans. I felt humbled to receive their time and attention on a Sunday. I learned a lot about the process and especially enjoyed the cupping room experience. The women made it fun, and I was surprisingly able to distinguish the coffee scents and flavors. The tour, including the drive out to the farm, took all day, which made the admission fee, although expensive, totally worth the money, especially considering that I was the only person on the tour. A special shout-out to my guide, Kevine, from Question Coffee. She made the whole experience very special for me. I arrived early before an organized safari tour just for this trek, and I'm so glad I did. I highly recommend it if you have an extra day in Kigali, love coffee, and want to support Rwandan Women Coffee Farmers!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this thoughtful review and for spending your Sunday with our partners, women coffee farmers. We’re grateful for your kind words and happy to hear Kevine and the team made your experience special. We truly appreciate your support of women in coffee!

Women-led Coffee Farm Trek: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kigali.
How much does Women-led Coffee Farm Trek cost?
+
Prices start at $150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kigali usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Women-led Coffee Farm Trek take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kigali is not rushed.
Is Women-led Coffee Farm Trek worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 27 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kigali, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Women-led Coffee Farm Trek?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Women-led Coffee Farm Trek suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Women-led Coffee Farm Trek?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kigali can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kigali and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Women-led Coffee Farm Trek start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kigali within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kigali?
+
On Outty we rank every Kigali experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include One-day Akagera National Park Game Drive with a Choice 4x4, One Day Akagera Wildlife Safari, Kigali City Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kigali?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kigali?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
