Tour guide was very detailed on the history. She answered questions and was easy to talk to. She didn’t rush and took her time explaining everything.
Response from the operator: This is what we love to hear. Thanks for joining us, and for this great feedback about your guide!

Very insightful and an overall great experience. Even though it included all the history in the witch trials, he also included history of Salem as a whole.
Response from the operator: Hello Brenda, thank you for your hauntingly great feedback! We’re so glad you found the tour insightful and enjoyable. It’s wonderful to hear that the broader history of Salem, alongside the stories of the witch trials, helped create a more complete and engaging experience. Incomplete information
The meeting place listed as the place to start the tour was wrong when I was finally able to get the right address the tour wasn’t there. Very disappointed

The guide did not wear...
The guide did not wear the identifiable shirt nor carry a stick. He wore all black in a Saturday in October. As you can imagine, we got separated from the group. Company will not refund us.
Response from the operator: Hi Cara, thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. We're sorry to hear this tour did not meet our normal standards, and we understand your disappointment. While we do have a strict policy we have to adhere to, our team should have been willing to work with you and come to a resolution. We apologize if this did not happen, and we'd like to look further into this. Please reach out to guestrelations@usghostadventures.com with your booking information, and we'll be able to assist you. Thank you.

Witch tour of Salem
Absolutely outstanding, our guide Danielle was very knowledgeable and jolly. Fortunately for us we were the only couple on the tour, which made it much more personal. Salem is steeped in history and Danielle certainly crammed the information in. The trip is well worth it, pointing out many spots which you would normally just walk past without knowing anything about it. She also pointed out some very spooky happenings in certain buildings throughout the walk. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who would like to know more about this wonderful place.
Response from the operator: Hi, Andrew! We appreciate your thoughtful review! We’re delighted that the tour felt personal and that Danielle’s storytelling helped bring Salem’s history and spooky happenings to life. Your kind words will be shared with her, and we hope to welcome you back again soon.

Why this scores 50
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Witches of Salem Tour: Mysteries, Myths, and Magic: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Salem.
How much does Witches of Salem Tour: Mysteries, Myths, and Magic cost?
+
Prices start at $31 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Salem usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Witches of Salem Tour: Mysteries, Myths, and Magic take?
+
Plan for about 1.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Salem is not rushed.
Is Witches of Salem Tour: Mysteries, Myths, and Magic worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 50 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 41 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Salem, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Witches of Salem Tour: Mysteries, Myths, and Magic?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Witches of Salem Tour: Mysteries, Myths, and Magic suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Witches of Salem Tour: Mysteries, Myths, and Magic?
+
Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Salem can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Salem and add a light layer if any part of the 1.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Witches of Salem Tour: Mysteries, Myths, and Magic start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Salem within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Salem?
+
Salem runs witch trial history tours, ghost and cemetery walks, museum entries and harbour trips, with October turning the whole town into a month-long event. On Outty we rank every Salem experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include History and Hauntings of Salem Guided Walking Tour, Satanic Salem Walking Tour, Salem Voodoo, Vampires, and Ghosts Guided Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Salem?
+
September to October for atmosphere, May to June for smaller crowds. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Salem?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
