Entertaining and informative
Fun experience, great Captain- entertaining and knowledgeable. The drinks at the beginning of the cruise were a great way to start, However it wasn’t clear to us whether one drink per person or an open bar , no one on the boat took a second drink. The captain made the offer of a second drink at the end of the cruise which was awkward since there wasn’t enough time to finish even a soft drink or water before we disembarked

The Best Canal Trip.
So many boats to choose from but we made the right decision. Beautiful boat, Mel the great driver and only 8 of us on board. And a lovely glass of rose too. Lots of fun and a really lovely way to see Amsterdam from the water.

Couldn’t have been better
I thoroughly enjoyed our canal cruise with pure boats. Not only were the staff and guide really friendly and informative the boat itself and whole vibe was immaculate and beautiful. Me and my partner missed our time slot as our taxi driver cancelled on us and they kindly rebooked us for later that day. The lady on the phone was really understanding and helpful. We arrived later that day for our cruise and they let us sit in the office and wait as it was very cold outside and the lady on the desk was very accommodating. The guy who took us on the tour was very informative telling us interesting facts he was also funny and very professional. He took the time to ask us all our names and where we’re from and made the tour interactive. During our cruise there were some people who were quite rude speaking over him as he guided us and he handled it really well and just spoke up for us to hear over their voices. The selection of drinks on board were lovely and it was so nice and warm with heating and the cover. It was extremely comfortable. Overall I really enjoyed our experience and couldn’t recommend it enough! Thankyou to all the amazing staff at pure boats.

Really enjoyed and would highly recommend.
This was such a beautiful way to see Amsterdam. Our capital was exceptional & she gave us so many interesting insights into the city. We had some lovely snacks to keep us going & a great selection of drinks to enjoy throughout the cruise & we were encouraged to help ourselves. I would highly recommend ❤️

Winter Canal Cruise in Amsterdam: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amsterdam.
How much does Winter Canal Cruise in Amsterdam cost?
+
Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amsterdam usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Winter Canal Cruise in Amsterdam take?
+
Plan for about 1.3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amsterdam is not rushed.
Is Winter Canal Cruise in Amsterdam worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 31 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amsterdam, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Winter Canal Cruise in Amsterdam?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Winter Canal Cruise in Amsterdam suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Winter Canal Cruise in Amsterdam?
+
Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amsterdam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amsterdam and add a light layer if any part of the 1.3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Winter Canal Cruise in Amsterdam start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amsterdam within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Amsterdam?
+
On Outty we rank every Amsterdam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amsterdam Canal Cruise with Local Guide and Small Group, Absolutely Amsterdam - the Essential Introductory Walking Tour, Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam's Highlights & Hidden Gems. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Amsterdam?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
