Misleading Information and Dishonest Business Practices
I booked this tour specifically because the advertised itinerary included a visit to Venetsanos Winery in Santorini. I even have a screenshot of the itinerary showing that winery as part of the tour. However, we never went there. When I complained, I was told that the itinerary can change based on availability. The problem is that I was never informed of any changes before the tour, nor was I given the opportunity to decide whether I still wanted to participate. After raising the issue, the website was being updated, which suggests the company was aware that the advertised itinerary was inaccurate. This feels very dishonest. Customers book tours based on the experiences that are advertised. Substituting key destinations without notice is misleading and unacceptable. Unfortunately, this was my last day in Santorini, and instead of visiting the places I had specifically chosen, I was taken to locations that I had no interest in seeing. As a result, I wasted valuable vacation time and missed the opportunity to visit Venetsanos Winery on my own. I would not recommend this company to anyone who expects the tour they book to match the itinerary that is advertised.

Wine tours made it!
Dysfunctional pick ups for other guests made our day run late. Very strange drive suggesting we have to pay €5000 if we didn’t have a booking… which we did. Waiting for other guests at wrong location made us uneasy about the experience. First wine tasting experience, we were obviously sitting around waiting for 2 other guests to arrrive. When they did arrive they were not told of change of pick up… fair, felt bad for them, young American couple waiting for a lift that wasn’t coming! Got on to the wine tasting, excellent Lovely staff great atmosphere. Next winery, amazing! Seen wine museum and then wine tasting! 4 wines and local spirit! Very nice Then…. On to Oia for a sunset drink an hour an a half before sunset at a table we have no chance of seeing a sunset! Waited a long time for another drink (we paid for) as it was so busy! Ended up leaving well before sunset as we have better views from our hotel room!! That would be disappointing for other people with the expectation of a sunset drinks!!! Told by the tour guide it would have been a nightmare to leave in the transport after sunset!!! So we had a lucky escape! Back to our town for dinner we were starving. Pick up 3pm dropped back (early) 8.45 Just FYI eat before you leave!!
Response from the operator: "Thank you for sharing such detailed feedback. We sincerely apologize for the delays and confusion with the pick-ups, and we appreciate your patience throughout the day. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the wine tastings, the wineries, and the staff’s hospitality. Your comments about timing and sunset arrangements are noted, and we’ll work to improve the schedule for a smoother experience in the future. — MTM Travel & Tourism"

Wine tour review
Rainy day did not go to OIA or see the sunset and we got finished much earlier than sunset. Good wine and informative. Though we go picked up at our hotel we were told they could not bring us back as it was too hilly. This was a bizarre twist as other huge vechiles go up and down all day.
Response from the operator: "Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the wine and found the tour informative. We’re sorry the weather affected your visit to Oia and the sunset, and we appreciate your comments regarding the drop-off arrangements. We’ll review this to improve the experience for future guests. — MTM Travel & Tourism"

Wine tour
Our host Katrina was very sweet. We got to taste 8 amazing wine. It was interesting to walk through the wine museum. The best part was watching the sunset at the cocktail bar. You have not seen a sunset until you do iso in Santorini. An amazing experience.

Sadly underwhelming
Great wines and great location to see the sunset. We have been on plenty of other tours that offer better value for money. The mezze plate was underwhelming. Very little food considering a 9 hour tour and very poor quality. Wines great but the overall experience was average.

Why this scores 57
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Winery - Oia Sunset Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santorini.
How much does Winery - Oia Sunset Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $130 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santorini usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Winery - Oia Sunset Tour take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santorini is not rushed.
Is Winery - Oia Sunset Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santorini, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Winery - Oia Sunset Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Winery - Oia Sunset Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Winery - Oia Sunset Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santorini can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santorini and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Winery - Oia Sunset Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santorini within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Santorini?
+
On Outty we rank every Santorini experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half Day Premium Catamaran Cruise in Santorini including Oia, Private Santorini Tailor Made - Choice of the Guest!, Private Classic Santorini Panorama: Visit Top Destinations. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Santorini?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Santorini?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
