Full day wine tour.

Tour guide Dave was great...Christchurch native, born and bred. Knew the details of what we were looking at, and where we were going. Visited two wineries out towards Amberley, and had lunch at the second. Great wines, mostly whites, with a bit of rosé and red. Good charcuterie platter for lunch. Highly recommend.

Response from the operator: Sounds like you had a fabulous day with Dave, a local gem :) Thanks for sharing.

Great Tour Guide and Tours

We actually toured for 2 days, the wine tour north, and south to the Alpaca Farm and Akaroa. Stuart, our tour guide, was fantastic: knowledgeable, very experienced, personable, and with a good sense of humor. We really enjoyed our tours and would highly recommend Canterbury Trails. Robert and Lonni

Response from the operator: Thank you Robert and Lonni, we really appreciate your review :) Stu will be very happy you had a great time with him.

Absolutely amazing! ...

Absolutely amazing! We were made to feel incredibly special at every turn from been asked if there was anything special we wanted to see, places enroute we wanted to stop at to the vineyard experiences. You can tell she has a genuine connection to the places that are being shown off. Even down to knowing the gardeners and being involved in local community projects. Would highly recommend this tour if your looking for a personal experience that makes you feel special.

Response from the operator: Thanks so much! Georgi will be very happy to hear this :)

Beautiful day and experience

This was such a fun day! Our guide, Dave, was knowledgeable, personable and professional. We enjoyed his company throughout the day. We were lucky to be the only ones on the tour and had a comfortable ride in a Tesla. After pick up, we began with a stop to see the gorgeous view from Cashmere Hill. Then we headed into the Waipara wine region and stopped at three boutique wineries, with an extended stay for lunch at the last one. It was the most stunning charcuterie platter I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this tour if you are interested in learning about and experiencing this beautiful wine region.

Response from the operator: Thanks so much for sharing your experience :) Very happy you had a great day with Dave.

Christchurch Explorer Private Tour with Mandy - A Perfect 4 Hours

We actually had a private Christchurch private tour of Christchurch and the surrounding area. Our guide was Mandy and she was fantastic! She asked what we were interested in and we mentioned street art, cultural places, recovery from the earthquake and aftershocks etc. She showed us many examples of street are during the day - some so stunning - one was a 3D of the storefronts that had been destroyed by the earthquake - so cool. We visited many places in the city including the catherdral, riverside market and so much more. We then drove into the hills above the city and had breathtaking views of Christchurch. Our recommendation is to ask for Mandy if you want to learn about the city and have a very pleasant day.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your day with us! We are so glad you had a fantastic time with Mandy - she is a very passionate guide and is one of the best :)

Wine trail and Christchurch City - Luxury, Small Group Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Christchurch.

How much does Wine trail and Christchurch City - Luxury, Small Group Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $625 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Christchurch usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Wine trail and Christchurch City - Luxury, Small Group Tour take?

+

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Christchurch is not rushed.

Is Wine trail and Christchurch City - Luxury, Small Group Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Christchurch, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Wine trail and Christchurch City - Luxury, Small Group Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Wine trail and Christchurch City - Luxury, Small Group Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Wine trail and Christchurch City - Luxury, Small Group Tour?

+

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Christchurch can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Christchurch and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Wine trail and Christchurch City - Luxury, Small Group Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Christchurch within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Christchurch?

+

On Outty we rank every Christchurch experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include TranzAlpine Train, Arthur's Pass and Castle Hill Day Trip, Lord of the Rings, Journey to Edoras Day Tour from Christchurch, Mount Cook, Lake Tekapo and Tasman Glacier Tour from Christchurch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Christchurch?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Christchurch?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
