Barely any wine for this “wine tasting”

Couldn’t agree more with the other reviewer. This is NOT a wine “tasting” experience. This is a waste of time where we did NOTHING more often than anything. Lunch was snacks. And we literally got to taste ONLY 3 wines!!! From the one winery. And barely any wine in them, but you best believe they gave you the menu to BUY wine as soon as they could. Utter waste of time And a scam. Save urself the $120 USD & just go on your own to colonia if you want

Your feedback is very important to us, and we regret that the activity felt limited and different from what you anticipated. Great tour for the price, couple issues to note

Very nice people, the food was very good, they did a great job with the wine tasting, my only negative comments are we booked an English Tour and the guide would spend a few minutes and 500 words in Spanish then 20 seconds and 20-30 words in English not sure what we missed, when the meal was done at 2:30, we just sat and waited 1:40 for the return bus to come for us. A waste of time we could have spent in the town

Response from the operator: Dear passenger, Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're glad you enjoyed the food and wine, and we apologize for the language issue during the tour. The bus was scheduled to arrive at that time, but we will work on improving these aspects for future visits. We appreciate your comments! Best Regards. Colonia Express.

Do not use Coloniaexpress!

We booked tickets and arrived 1.5 hours ahead of departing at 12.15 on 12 December 2019. The information board stated that the ferry is on time. After an hours delay someone from Coloniaexpress said there is a delay of 10 minutes. After another hour we were told that our ferry has not even departed from Colonia! We could not take the change to wait for perhaps another hour or get tickets for the next day, as we had a flight to catch to Johannesburg. We left the terminal at 14.00 and went back to our holiday apartment A total waste of time and money. I demanded proof that they will refund TripAdvisor, whereafter, according to Coloniaexpress, TripAdvisor will refund me. I do not recommend Coloniaexpress.

Response from the operator: Dear Passenger, We are very sorry to read about your experience. We do not really understand why you could not change your return tickets. Did you try to do it when you arrived to Colonia? Because all passengers where alowed to change tickets without penalties. Hope you can answer so we can improve communication. Thanks in advance.

5 hours delay!! Do not use colonial express

We’re visiting colonial del scramento and booked the trip from our hostel. The “express” should have departures at 12.15pm and return at 20.15pm, so we planed to stay there for 7hours (the way from buenos aires is 1hour). In reality the ferry had a delay of more than 3hours so we arrived at 6pm, which us only left less than 2hours there, because you need to be a few minutes before departure at the port. As we arrived on time for our way back to BA, colonial express had a unknown delay again and we waited another 2 hours - no information why, no excuse, no refund. It ruined our day, we had almost no time in Uruguay. I do not recommend using colonial express in anyway!

Response from the operator: Dear Passeger, Thanks for you comments. We are very sorry to read about your experience. Have you asked for a refund and we refused it? Please let us know. Thanks in advance.

Wine Tour to Colonia Del Sacramento in Finca del Sacramento: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Buenos Aires.

How much does Wine Tour to Colonia Del Sacramento in Finca del Sacramento cost?

+

Prices start at $28 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Buenos Aires usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Wine Tour to Colonia Del Sacramento in Finca del Sacramento take?

+

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Buenos Aires is not rushed.

Is Wine Tour to Colonia Del Sacramento in Finca del Sacramento worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 42 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Buenos Aires, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Wine Tour to Colonia Del Sacramento in Finca del Sacramento?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Wine Tour to Colonia Del Sacramento in Finca del Sacramento suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Wine Tour to Colonia Del Sacramento in Finca del Sacramento?

+

Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Buenos Aires can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Buenos Aires and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Wine Tour to Colonia Del Sacramento in Finca del Sacramento start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Buenos Aires within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Buenos Aires?

+

On Outty we rank every Buenos Aires experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Argentine Cooking, Wine & Beef Tasting at Argentine Experience, Historical Sherpa Food Tour of San Telmo with Street Food, Drinks, Cooking Class with Empanadas Steak & Flan by Argentine Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Buenos Aires?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Buenos Aires?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
