Sicilian Odyssey with Mimmo The Great!
We had a 9-day excursion with Mimmo throughout Sicily. It was a fantastic trip. This was our fourth trip to Italy, and we finally made it to Sicily. Super happy that we did, and we had a great experience with our guide Mimmo. Mimmo was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of Sicily. Being with a guide for 9 days we obviously asked a lot of questions about a lot of topics, and he was insightful on all subjects. His knowledge on the numerous Archaeological sites, temples, and churches that we visited was extensive. We also learned a lot about the countryside and history of the island as we were driving from city to city. He connected us with some of his favorite restaurateurs which made for many memorable meals. Mimmo is Sicilian and has been a tour guide for 20 years, so he clearly has many connections which makes for a lot of unique experiences when it comes to dining. He makes the connection and now your treated like family which is super cool. The Sicilian people are a very warm and welcoming culture. I can only imagine how it would be if we were from Sicily because a lot of people asked us if we had Sicilian roots. We don't but if you do it is game on. Mimmo was punctual which we like. If he said start time was 9:00AM he was there at 8:50 and ready to roll. Give him notice of your needs (bathroom break) as you're travelling, and he will make it happen. Our daughter had a significant medical issue during this trip, and he was able to connect us with a pharmacist that provided her with medicine to get her by. He was extremely professional in handling this female issue. Our daughter did get an actual house call from a doctor once we arrived at our next hotel the following day but what Mimmo did went above and beyond and provided our daughter with much needed relief. How he handled it was exceptional, and we are grateful. Mimmo is a 10 out of 10.

Our trip to Sicily booked through Exclusive Sicily Tours with Connie Costa was incredible and amazing. From the pick up at the airport to each of the cities we visited, Siracusa, Ortigia, Ragusa, Modica, Noto, Taormina, Mount Etna, Cefalù , Mondello, Palermo, Monreale, Connie booked us a thorough and enjoyable stay in Sicily. The hotels were luxurious, restaurants delicious, sites glorious, mountains spectacular, we could not have had a more enjoyable stay in Sicily.

So great—not a “touristy” experience
I chose this tour because I really wanted to visit an olive oil producer during my first trip to Sicily with my husband. I don’t really have that much experience booking tours and wasn’t sure what to expect, but we were very lucky to have gotten Domenico as our driver and guide. First, Domenico took us to Selinunte to visit the ruins by the sea and explained the historical significance. He anticipated that there would be a long line on a hot day and bought our tickets in advance. My favorite part of the trip was visiting Frantoio Li Pietri, where Giuseppe and his wife Rosamaria made us a beautiful lunch and told us how they produce olive oil. They were warm, gracious hosts and the experience exceeded our expectations. We are so glad that Domenico chose their frantoio to make our experience special. This tour was not your cookie-cutter tourist experience where there is no love in the experience. Everything had a special touch and felt a bit off the beaten path. Thanks, Domenico! We would recommend this tour to anyone.
Response from the operator: Liz, thank you for your feedback. Hope to see you again !!

Mimmo is the best!
Mimmo is the best! We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with him. My husband and I booked a last minute trip to Sicily in August. In a short time, Mimmo arranged a beautiful trip for a week all over Sicily. Mimmo has such a pleasant and friendly demeanor. He is intelligent, knowledgeable, funny and considerate He was always prompt and courteous. He gave us great recommendations of places to go, in addition to our tour. Mimmo was also a great photographer and we valued his feedback and honesty. He even took us to Some Places he thought we might enjoy. His luxury car was very clean, comfortable and he is an incredible driver. He made our trip so special and we highly recommend him as your tour guide. Thank you Mimmo!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words. Good luck for everything.

How long does WINE TOUR and SELINUNTE - Private Tour starts from Palermo take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Palermo is not rushed.
Is WINE TOUR and SELINUNTE - Private Tour starts from Palermo worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Palermo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule WINE TOUR and SELINUNTE - Private Tour starts from Palermo?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is WINE TOUR and SELINUNTE - Private Tour starts from Palermo suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book WINE TOUR and SELINUNTE - Private Tour starts from Palermo?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Palermo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Palermo and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does WINE TOUR and SELINUNTE - Private Tour starts from Palermo start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Palermo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Palermo?
+
On Outty we rank every Palermo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Palermo Pizza and Gelato Cooking Class with Meal and Wine, Palermo Food Tour: 10+ Tastings of Arancini, Cannoli, Wine & More, The Original Palermo Street Food & Market Tour (All-Inclusive!). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Palermo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Palermo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
