Not good at all rip off. Want a refund asap

I paid $254 for a wine tasting that was not well organized and didn’t include any wines. We weren’t able to do all places because some was closed. I feel like this was a ripp off and I was OVERCHARGED. I would like some to call me and I deserve a refund of some kind. The experience was awful and information was misleading.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify that this tour is a private transportation service to three Constantia wine farms as stated in the description. It also clearly states that wine tasting costs are at guests’ own expense. You requested to be picked up at 4:00 PM, which is not the usual start time of this tour, we were only able to take you to two wine farms instead of three to accommodate your schedule.

A wonderful way to “wine down”…

The Constantia wine region is certainly as beautiful, if not more beautiful, than the other Cape wine regions. A wonderful way to “wine down” after a great trip to South Africa. Our driver was excellent.

Fun time in Constantia!

Very fun experience with a private tour guide for our group. Since it was our final day in Cape Town, this tour operator allowed us to bring all of our luggage along for the excursion. The van was spacious enough to accommodate all four of us and all of our luggage!!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.

How much does Wine Tasting in Constantia Region Cape Town cost?

How long does Wine Tasting in Constantia Region Cape Town take?

+

Is Wine Tasting in Constantia Region Cape Town worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 45 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Wine Tasting in Constantia Region Cape Town?

+

Is Wine Tasting in Constantia Region Cape Town suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Wine Tasting in Constantia Region Cape Town?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Wine Tasting in Constantia Region Cape Town start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cape Town?

+

On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Penguins Day Tour from Cape Town, Table Mountain, Boulders Penguins and Cape point Day Tour, Wine Tour: Paarl, Franschhoek & Stellenbosch incl 3 wineries. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cape Town?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cape Town?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
