AVOID this company. Terrible customer service!
I usually don’t write reviews but this was the only bad experience I had in Poland so my experience could be helpful to other travelers. The company was recommended by my Airbnb host so I made a reservation for my parents for a tour to Welichka mine. After reading some reviews that the mine could be challenging to navigate for them as they are in their 80s I decided to join them so I can help them. I repeatedly emailed the provider asking for their reservations to be cancelled but no response even though the booking says free cancellation up to 24 hrs of booking. I called the number on their email which no one answered. I tried to go to their office listed on the website but there was no office on the address listed on the website. The day before the tour I decided my only option was to join my parents by making a booking for me through Krakow booking for the Welichka tour. Within 1 hr of the booking I got an email that my booking is cancelled as they didn’t receive immediate payment. Because the tour was the next day and no one answered the phone I made a new booking using a different credit card. That booking was confirmed immediately. A few days after the tour my first credit card charge went through, so I was charged twice! Krakow booking is refusing to reimburse the first charge and it claims that I have mistakenly made two bookings for myself even though I informed them immediately the day of the tour that my name is twice on the passenger list for that tour day. The driver of the van himself was nice but honestly I think Welichka is better done without using a tour company as the train connection is good and quick. In summary this is a company with terrible customer service, AVOID!

Excellent customer service
We did this tour 20 years ago and were excited to do it again with my sister and her husband. Unfortunately due to an emergency we had to leave Poland and had to cancel at last minute. They were very kind and understanding and they gave us a full refund. We will be back soon and will use this company for all the tours they have to offer.

Through our hotel we booked with this company for a day trip to the salt mines, we were told where to meet at 08:35 we were at the designated location at 08:20 buses/coaches we’re coming and going, I approached the bus drivers and tour guides asking were we on their list and we was not, transport was also parking outside Radisson Blu so I walked up and down numerous times to check our bus hadn’t stopped there and no nothing for us. At 9am we contacted our hotel to see if there was some delay they said the company had rang and we wasn’t there! Well that was a complete lie we made sure we were known, so being 20 minutes later than pick up time we said we would find our own taxi to the salt mines collect our tickets from the driver and ride back with them to be told we were FAR to late to catch up?? Hardly I think. Anyway after our own battle for a solution a refund had in principle has been offered. Please if you book with this company Krakow booking.com make sure you have THEIR details so your day wasn’t ruined like ours. Other bus companies on the day we’re looking for their missing passengers which was a professional thing to do we thought and waiting for them to arrive. Please just be mindful.

Why this scores 43
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Wieliczka Salt Mine: 4-Hour Guided Tour from Krakow: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krakow.
How much does Wieliczka Salt Mine: 4-Hour Guided Tour from Krakow cost?
+
Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krakow usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Wieliczka Salt Mine: 4-Hour Guided Tour from Krakow take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krakow is not rushed.
Is Wieliczka Salt Mine: 4-Hour Guided Tour from Krakow worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 43 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Krakow, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Wieliczka Salt Mine: 4-Hour Guided Tour from Krakow?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Wieliczka Salt Mine: 4-Hour Guided Tour from Krakow suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Wieliczka Salt Mine: 4-Hour Guided Tour from Krakow?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krakow can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krakow and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Wieliczka Salt Mine: 4-Hour Guided Tour from Krakow start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krakow within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Krakow?
+
On Outty we rank every Krakow experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Complete Cracow Bike Tour (small group of maximum 15 people!), Krakow–Zakopane: Cable Car, Chocholow Baths, Cheese & Vodka, Krakow: Zakopane & Hot Springs Tour with Cable Car (Hotel Pickup). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Krakow?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Krakow?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
