Cultural immersion
One of the best experiences I have had in Tokyo! Noriko is amazing and makes you feel very comfortable. She has great knowledge about several beautiful traditions. I loved the kimono, the tea ceremony, learning to cook and to play the koto. 10/10, I highly recommend. I would love to go again if the chance comes up!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your wonderful review. I was delighted to hear that you had made your reservation four months in advance and had been looking forward to your visit for so long. I am truly pleased that the experience met your expectations and that you enjoyed it. Your deep knowledge of Japanese history and culture made your questions especially insightful, and I greatly enjoyed our conversations. You also practiced the koto with great dedication until you were able to play skillfully with both hands. Your progress was truly impressive, and you became wonderfully proficient. You were an excellent student! Thank you again for visiting. I sincerely look forward to the pleasure of welcoming you again in the future:)

A unique, memorable cultural experience Noriko
My mom and I had a truly special day with Noriko. We started by wearing kimonos and taking beautiful photos, then continued with a tea ceremony where Noriko shared insightful explanations about Japanese culture. After that, we cooked okonomiyaki together, which was both fun and delicious. We ended the day listening to the delicate sounds of the koto, and even had the chance to try playing it ourselves. Beyond the rich and well-planned experience, what made it unforgettable was Noriko herself. She is kind, warm, and genuinely welcoming, opening her home and making us feel truly welcomed from the very beginning. Noriko thought of every detail, which made the entire experience exceptional. Out of everything we did in Japan, this was definitely one of the highlights. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a meaningful and authentic experience.
Response from the operator: Welcome to Japan, a country you’ve long dreamed of visiting. And thank you so much for taking the time, during your stay, to come to my home. You are truly kind, gentle, and beautiful people who show deep respect for Japanese culture. I prepared everything with great care, and it made me so happy to see you appreciate each and every detail. I’m really glad I had the chance to meet you. And thank you sincerely for writing such a wonderful review. The cherry blossoms will begin to bloom very soon, like soft whispers of spring across the country. I hope you enjoy many of the beautiful things Japan has to offer, fall even more in love with it, and come back again someday. I look forward to that day 🌸

wonderful cultural experience and two days guiding with Norinco in Tokyo
We 2 couples had a wonderful experience with Norinco Koshida 3 weeks ago in Tokyo. Norinco made us familiar with the Japanese culture. We visited her home and experienced two hours of the beautiful cultural Tea ceremony and music. We enjoyed two wonderful days with Norinco visiting cultural sites and around Tokyo most interesting neighborhoods. We recommend Norinco not only for the tea ceremony but also as excellent guide. Jacob Zack
Response from the operator: Jacob, thank you so much for your wonderful review! I also truly enjoyed those two special days with you. I was deeply impressed by how all four of you listened so eagerly and with such interest to my explanations about Japanese culture. You also shared your own culture with me, which broadened my knowledge. I had such a great time and would love to see the four of you again. I look forward to the day we meet next. Please stay healthy and happy:)

Japanese cultural experience in a private setting
Noriko-san was the perfect host, introducing me to some aspects of Japanese culture I am mostly interested in as a foreigner. Starting with wearing the various layers that make up a Yukata or summer Kimono. The perfect way to know how it feels wearing a traditional japanese garment. After a photo session we went on to preparing and eat a delicious lunch followed by tea ceremony and a delightful Koto concert. All steps were hands-on, I was able to learn a lot and to ask questions. The hours just flew by... the host is very knowledgeable, graceful, patient (with all the pictures taking and questions and decisions making about which garment to choose from...), kind and fun to be with. Thank you Noriko-san for all the preparation that goes into organizing this private event at your cosy home.
Response from the operator: What a wonderful review! Thank you so much for visiting the other day. Although I am still not very experienced with vegan cooking, I tried my best to prepare it for you, and I was truly happy that you noticed my effort and enjoyed it. You looked angelically beautiful in your yukata. You even cooked the dishes more skillfully than I did, which impressed me very much. I appreciate for spending your precious time with me. I am looking forward to seeing you again;)

We love Noriko!
This was one of our favorite things we did on our whole Japan trip. Noriko was so friendly, knowledgable, and passionate about traditional Japanese culture and helped set us up to really appreciate the details of everything we saw the rest of our time in the country. The food was amazing, the music was amazing, and we now can say we have a friend in Tokyo! Would recommend this to anyone traveling here!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your such an excellent review. I wish I can join this experience as a guest as you lol. It was super nice to meet you and I truly appreciate your visit to my home. I hope we can spend fun time together again;)

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Whole package of Japanese cultural experience privately Tokyo: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tokyo.
How much does Whole package of Japanese cultural experience privately Tokyo cost?
+
Prices start at $10000 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tokyo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Whole package of Japanese cultural experience privately Tokyo take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tokyo is not rushed.
Is Whole package of Japanese cultural experience privately Tokyo worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 22 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tokyo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Whole package of Japanese cultural experience privately Tokyo?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Whole package of Japanese cultural experience privately Tokyo suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Whole package of Japanese cultural experience privately Tokyo?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tokyo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tokyo and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Whole package of Japanese cultural experience privately Tokyo start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tokyo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tokyo?
+
Tokyo is less a city than a stack of neighborhoods with completely different opening hours. A guided food crawl through Shinjuku's Omoide Yokocho gets you past the no-tourist curtains, while the day trips west to Hakone and Fuji need an early start to be worth the fare. Our ranking weighs guide quality heavily here, because in Tokyo the guide is the product. On Outty we rank every Tokyo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tokyo Shinjuku Chopsticks Making Class, Tokyo : Asakusa Chopsticks Making Class, Shinjuku Night Food and Bar Crawl. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tokyo?
+
Late March to May for blossom, October to November for clear Fuji views. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tokyo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
