    Fantastic Dolphin Watching Experience 🐬

Amazing experience and really well organised from start to finish. We saw lots of dolphins which was such a special experience, and even managed a small glimpse of a whale too! Loads of great photo opportunities throughout the trip. The staff were all really attentive and friendly, regularly offering drinks and snacks and keeping everyone informed during the tour. Hotel pick up and drop off was really easy and stress free too, with a very friendly driver. Would definitely recommend if you’re visiting St Lucia!

Might not have seen whales or dolphins, but beautiful views of the island

We didn’t see whales or dolphins but a great time was had. The Crew were brilliant, ensured comfort throughout (drinks and snacks). The views of the island were spectacular.

    Fun Dolphin Cruise

Great short whale & dolphin tour in St. Lucia! Picked up right at our cruise ship pier and taken to the boat – super convenient. Crew was friendly, offered drinks and snacks several times. Boat wasn’t too full, nice space. Saw lots of playful dolphins – awesome to watch! No whales, but that’s nature. Guide shared some cool coast info. Best: dropped us back directly at the ship (others to the pier) – saved time! Relaxing trip, just be ready for waves if seasick-prone. Highly recommend! 🐬

    Top Notch Tour

This tour was above and beyond what we were expecting! We saw two separate sperm whales, a group of 5 pilot whales that were right beside the boat. We saw a huge pod of dolphins that were all around the boat. Great service, snacks and multiple drinks offered. Great experience, and highly recommended.

We went to the sea with high expectations, but we were a little disappointed. We saw dolphins somewhere in the distance, but that was all. The organization of the trip was excellent, the staff was friendly.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the organization of the trip and friendly staff. We understand that wildlife sightings can be unpredictable, and we truly regret that the experience did not fully meet your expectations.

Whale Watching and Dolphin Spotting Cruise: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Choc.

How much does Whale Watching and Dolphin Spotting Cruise cost?

    +

Prices start at $88 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Choc usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Whale Watching and Dolphin Spotting Cruise take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Choc is not rushed.

Is Whale Watching and Dolphin Spotting Cruise worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 44 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Choc, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Whale Watching and Dolphin Spotting Cruise?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Whale Watching and Dolphin Spotting Cruise suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Whale Watching and Dolphin Spotting Cruise?

    +

Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Choc can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Choc and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Whale Watching and Dolphin Spotting Cruise start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Choc within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Choc?

    +

On Outty we rank every Choc experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include St Lucia Diamond Mineral and Mud Baths Plus Waterfall Adventure, Rainforest Hike and Waterfall Safari, Sea and Land Tour in St. Lucia. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Choc?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Choc?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What happens to Whale Watching and Dolphin Spotting Cruise if the weather is bad?

    +

It generally runs rain or shine, so dress for the forecast in Choc. Standard cancellation terms apply: free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start.

    +

Across 44 reviews averaging 4.4 out of 5, recurring themes include food and drink, the guide, photo opportunities. The tastings and food stops are a highlight for most reviewers.
