    The Bro's

We had a great trip and we where lucky enough to be able to see some Orcas ("The Bro's"). We also saw some sea lions. Our noon departure was on time and our guide and captain both were great, friendly, and knowledge. We were on one of the open zodiac boats that was a little bumpy at times and had sea spray on the way out which should be and was expected by us and all part of the experience and very fun. We did have some heavy fog and choppy water until we got further out. During this part of the tour is when we had a little hic-up. Our company supplied suits had some issues. The hood one my suit did not have the locking plastic fasteners on it and in order to keep it down and on I had to tie them together which made the string come uncomfortably across my face/nose. My Daughters suit was a different design and only had a draw string on one side that was also broke and not working causing her to be unconformable on the way out having to try and hold her hood down and also hold onto the rail at the same time. Once we got past the fog the sun was out and the water was like glass. At this time she was able to put her hoodie on under her suit and use its hood to be comfortable, though it was not waterproof. The guide did try to help and offered my daughter to sit in the cabin with the captain but she declined wanting to stay with us. Pro Tip, check the hood before you head out to make sure it will work properly. The trip was defiantly saved by seeing the "Bro's", a great crew, and some international boat mates that were fun to spend an afternoon with, and my wife and daughter had a great time. We defiantly would do it again, however we would do a better job checking our gear.

    Magical

We all had a truly great experience seeing Orcas, Sealions and Humpbacks . We were all so pleased we saw them as our first booking had to be cancelled due to bad weather at sea, so book earlier just in case so you re-book again and don't miss out. Quite a choppy ride of 5 hrs ,so take a scarf or hooded coat and water.

    We're able to see...

We're able to see humpback whales even though it is a bit far away. We also saw sea lions & seals. Our two guides were very knowledgeable about the whales.

Whale Watching Adventure from Vancouver BC: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Vancouver.

How much does Whale Watching Adventure from Vancouver BC cost?

    +

Prices start at $179 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Vancouver usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Whale Watching Adventure from Vancouver BC take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Vancouver is not rushed.

Is Whale Watching Adventure from Vancouver BC worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 105 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Vancouver, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Whale Watching Adventure from Vancouver BC?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Whale Watching Adventure from Vancouver BC suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Whale Watching Adventure from Vancouver BC?

    +

Around 37 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Vancouver can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Vancouver and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Whale Watching Adventure from Vancouver BC start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Vancouver within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Vancouver?

    +

On Outty we rank every Vancouver experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Grand Bicycle Tour of Vancouver, The Stanley Park Bicycle Tour, Vancouver City Sightseeing Tour: Capilano Suspension Bridge & Vancouver Lookout. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Vancouver?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Vancouver?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in Whale Watching Adventure from Vancouver BC?

    +
