Excellent private guide

Mahmoud is excellent! A local Cairo friend recommended him and we're so glad they did. He took care of everything and made us feel right at home. The camel ride around the pyramids was the highlight, so great!

We definitely Explored and learnt from the Expert Mahmoud

We spent two days with Mahmoud and felt we learnt so much in an engaging way - we really maximised our time without any stress of getting around so we could be In the moment and take it all in. Now I’ve experienced Cairo i realise it could be an overwhelming experience (with traffic chaos and street sellers) but having Mahmoud as a guide with a driver we always felt we were in good hands. I am sure we could not have done this in a more pleasurable way - it’s a conversation and it’s flexible as to what you want to concentrate on as well as being able to ask as many questions as come to mind from the expert . Mahmoud’s archeological background obviously means he is knowledgeable and enthusiastic - it’s such a vast and fascinating subject spanning thousands of years . For the moment until the new museum opens you really need a guide to fully appreciate and do justice to what you’re seeing as there is not a great deal of information…. We enjoyed the fact that the tour was personal to us and lots of the conversations we had Re ancient and modern… We would definitely recommend Mahmoud.

Simply Wonderful!

I would like to start by saying this was the best tour I have ever been on. The execution, the staff and the planning was to perfection. In just six days we were able to explore and experience almost all of Egypt. The first day we arrived we were greeted at the Hotel by the owners and their staff. They made sure we had a room with warm water and told us a brief summary of what our trip details were. Every morning the owner or one of his staff members would be waiting for us at the hotel lobby and send us on our way with the driver and tour guide. Our Tour Guide in Cairo and Alexandria was the best!! He was so patient and protective of us that we felt very safe. The tour to the pyramids and camel rides were espectacular. One of the requested we made was to always have traditional Egyptian food for lunch and they certainly delivered. I have never had such amazing food like the food in Egypt, they took us to the best places to eat with wonderful views. The temples in Aswan were divine and the sceneary was breathtaking. In Luxor we were able to go on a ballon-ride, they made sure the weather was safe and the person handling the ballon was a police officer so everything was safe and very calculated to the detail. In Alexandria we were able to explore this magnificent city and for lunch we had something a little different but amazing... The best Fish restaurant in all of Egypt!! We were also able to experience the Black and white desert, all I have to say is that I am of a loss for words because its wonderful, although I do recommend to spend the night in the desert (they offer this option) because its a bit far from Cairo and a long drive to make it in a day trip. On the very last day in Cairo we were taken on the Faluca, Bazaar and food tour. The Faluca on the Nile was exceptional, just beautiful. The Bazaar as always, very organized and respectful people. The Food Tour is something you need to try, this is the upmost traditional Egyptian food you will ever try. I must say it was so interesting seeing what they eat and how. We were offered 3 meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. I must say that this company truly made our stay special, we were treated like family and they made sure we experienced as much as possible in so little time. I truly recommend this company!! When I go back to Egypt this is the only trusted people I will contact.

Western desert Safari white&black desert (2 Days,1 Night): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Giza.

How much does Western desert Safari white&black desert (2 Days,1 Night) cost?

+

Prices start at $137 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Giza usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Western desert Safari white&black desert (2 Days,1 Night) take?

+

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Giza is not rushed.

Is Western desert Safari white&black desert (2 Days,1 Night) worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Giza, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Western desert Safari white&black desert (2 Days,1 Night)?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Western desert Safari white&black desert (2 Days,1 Night) suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 48-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Western desert Safari white&black desert (2 Days,1 Night)?

+

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Giza can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Giza and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Western desert Safari white&black desert (2 Days,1 Night) start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Giza within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Giza?

+

On Outty we rank every Giza experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pyramids Sphinx Camel ATV Bike Shopping and Nile Dinner Cruise, Cairo 8 Hour Private Tour of Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum, Pyramids Sphinx and Grand Egyptian Museum Nile Felucca or Bazaar. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Giza?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Giza?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
