Great Day at West Coast National Park

A very relaxing trip to the West Coast National Park. Took a nice easy hike through the park seeing numerous Elands and early flower blooms. Great lunch at a local seaside town. Saw Ostriches and giraffes in the park and along the drive. Excellent, pleasant and caring guide Denver made it quite a special day. Great!

It’s great to hear you enjoyed a relaxing day with beautiful wildlife sightings, early blooms, and a seaside lunch. We’re especially happy to hear guide Denver made the experience feel so special with his caring and friendly approach - we’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to him. From, Team Hotspots2C

West Coast National Park

We had a great time exploring the West Coast National Park, visiting Langebaan for lunch, and capping the trip with coffee/cocktails at the Blue Peter Hotel in Cape Town. Gerhard, our tour guide, was very informative and knowledgeable. Our first stop was breakfast at the West Coast farm stall for coffee and rusks. It was our first taste of rusks. We loved it. At the park, we were lucky to spot a herd of Elands by the road. We had a close-up view. We saw a family of Ostriches. We took a 2 km hike of the Bakoor trail and spotted a turtle (Angulate Tortoise). Neat. We had great pics of the scenic coast and lagoon. Thanks Gerhard!

Response from the operator: Thank you for your exceptional feedback on the West Coast Wonders Private tour. It’s great to hear you enjoyed exploring the park, spotting wildlife, and taking in the beautiful coastal scenery led by your local guide. Sounds like you had a true local tastes experience too... We’re glad guide Gerhard’s knowledge added to the day and made it even more memorable. Wonderful triip if you like to walk or hike, or just see the north coast.

It’s a bit of a long drive, but if you’d like to walk/hike, it has wonderful options. We took one 7 km hike that was in land. We recommend you take any hike that is on the coast because it would be more scenic. We enjoyed our hike because we felt like we were on the plains of Africa, but at the same time we were in the West Coast for a reason to see the coast. Later, we spent some time on the beach and that was very nice. our Guide TK was incredibly insightful, intelligent, sensitive, gentle, and totally amazing. We were so blessed to have had him as our guide. Thank you, TK!

Response from the operator: Thank you for your thoughtful feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the hiking experience and time on the beach - it’s true, the coastal routes of the West Coast offer some beautiful scenery, but some hiking coastal routes are protected and not always open out of season. It’s wonderful to hear your guide TK made such a meaningful impact with his insight and caring approach. We’ve shared your kind words with him and our office team too. By joining us, you’ve also supported our #tour2Cchange initiatives, contributing to local community and conservation projects along the way. Take care of your wallet !

The tour of Westcose National Park was amazing, just filled with flowers as far as the eye could see, and it was also great to see so many endemic wild animals, birds and plants of South Africa. Just very unfortunately, $200 disappeared from my wallet while I was on tour. I noticed that I didn't spend any cash there, only my card, and when I got home to my hotel I didn't have $200. I left the bag in the car for just five minutes. Everyone around you thinks you're a thief, so be careful!

Response from the operator: Dear Akiko, thank you for sharing your wonderful tour experience - we’re so pleased to hear that you enjoyed the incredible scenery and wildlife that made the experience so special. However, we were truly shocked to hear about this unreported incident regarding the missing money. We take matters like this seriously and have thoroughly investigated the situation internally. According to our guide, who has worked with Hotspots2c for many years with an impeccable track record, the vehicle was always locked during the tour. He has successfully guided over 4,000 guests without any previous incidents of this nature. We reached out to assist you in logging this case with the police and the national park, but have not received any feedback to assist. We would gladly continue to help with any investigation into the missing funds should you wish to report it for your personal insurance. It is unfortunate (and unfair) that this incident of the missing money was not brought up with us directly or the guide during or after the tour. As the case was not communicated to us directly it was not easy to follow up quicker. According to our findings there is a large possibility that the money could have also been misplaced or lost at another point in time. We are delighted that you loved the tour regardless and our tour guide also enjoyed taking photos and videos while enjoying the wild flowers in spring time too. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if we can be of further assistance.

West Coast Wonders Full Day Tour with Private Transfer: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.

How much does West Coast Wonders Full Day Tour with Private Transfer cost?

+

Prices start at $700 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Town usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does West Coast Wonders Full Day Tour with Private Transfer take?

+

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Town is not rushed.

Is West Coast Wonders Full Day Tour with Private Transfer worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule West Coast Wonders Full Day Tour with Private Transfer?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is West Coast Wonders Full Day Tour with Private Transfer suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book West Coast Wonders Full Day Tour with Private Transfer?

+

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does West Coast Wonders Full Day Tour with Private Transfer start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cape Town?

+

On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Penguins Day Tour from Cape Town, Table Mountain, Boulders Penguins and Cape point Day Tour, Wine Tour: Paarl, Franschhoek & Stellenbosch incl 3 wineries. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cape Town?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cape Town?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
