Horrible
Did not enjoy, wasn’t even the full 30 minutes. If I’m responsible for my phone that’s my responsibility I know that. But to not have it then they want us to pay for their expensive photos.
Response from the operator: Hello Chris, good morning. We were quite surprised to read your review, as some of the details mentioned do not accurately reflect what happened during your visit. We would like to respectfully clarify the situation point by point: First, your activity was scheduled for 4:00 PM. Both the activity description and the ticket you receive when booking clearly indicate that guests must arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled time. Since your reservation was the last activity of the day, we were no longer accepting additional guests after 4:00 PM. However, you arrived at approximately 4:25 PM. Second, our activity description also clearly states that cell phones and cameras cannot be taken during the activity. This is a safety requirement, as using a phone or camera while operating the equipment can be distracting and may increase the risk of an accident. In the event that the equipment is damaged due to improper use, the corresponding charges may apply. Our guide explained this policy to you, but despite the instructions, you chose to take your phones with you. You were informed that doing so would be at your own responsibility and that if you were seen using them during the activity, the activity could be ended because the safety rules were not being followed. For this reason, we are unclear about your statement that "you were not allowed to take out your phones during the activity to purchase photos" Your phones were with you throughout the activity, despite our instructions not to bring or use them. We also have security cameras at our facility, and the events described above are documented. Additionally, you was seen using the phones during the activity after being specifically instructed not to do so. This is why our guide made the decision to end the activity early. We completely understand that not every experience will meet everyone's expectations, and we are always open to constructive feedback. However, we also believe it is important to clarify the facts when a review contains information that does not accurately represent what occurred. When renting and operating equipment, safety guidelines are in place to protect both our guests and our equipment, and we kindly ask all visitors to respect them. Thank you for your understanding, and we wish you a good day.

We got there at around...
We got there at around 11:45, the wait was 30 minutes not including the early arrival. Staff was nice. We asked for an update. Someone was going to get an update and never came back to let us know anything. The attraction was fun but I was nervous in all of the water.
Response from the operator: Hello Shonetell! Thank you so much for your review. We truly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve our service. We will look into what happened and why the waiting time was longer than expected. Providing a comfortable and enjoyable experience for every guest is one of our top priorities, and we will work on improving this aspect. Thank you again for visiting us. We hope you'll give us another opportunity in the future, and we'll do our best to help you feel even more confident riding the jet ski. Wishing you all the best, and thank you again for your support. Blessings!

Great experience
Fun Waverunner outing in lagoon. Our teenagers always beg to go out on waverunners. Booked through Jetpack Adventures and it was a fun outing. Company is safe, well organized. Would recommend for sure.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your excellent comments. We’re happy to hear you had a great time! A big hug and blessings.

I booked this excursion...
I booked this excursion for my friend's birthday, and he had a great time. I would recommend the hour slot as 30 minutes wouldn't be enough time. I love that photos/videos were taken. Also be aware of the changing marine fee.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for choosing us! We’re glad you had an amazing time, and we really appreciate your trust.

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Waverunners Rentals in Cancun: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.
How much does Waverunners Rentals in Cancun cost?
+
Prices start at $85 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Waverunners Rentals in Cancun take?
+
Plan for about 0.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.
Is Waverunners Rentals in Cancun worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 67 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Waverunners Rentals in Cancun?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Waverunners Rentals in Cancun suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Waverunners Rentals in Cancun?
+
Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 0.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Waverunners Rentals in Cancun start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cancun?
+
On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cancun?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cancun?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
