Super fun!
Super fun adventure! We never drove the jet ski before, but it was so easy. The guide navigated us around the storm, and we still were able to see dolphins - and get to them so close. Amazing pictures and videos of the experience, highly recommended - one of the best experiences we had in Destin!

Traffic sucks lol
I was looking forward to doing this. Got stuck in traffic for 2 hours and I couldn't make it in time . Maybe next time !!!

Memorable experience!
What a fun excursion! We rented two jet ski's for a family of 3, and it was just us and the tour guide, Derek. After giving us instructions on jet ski operation, we shoved off and practiced a bit outside the launch area and then the guide led the way. We traveled from the launch/marina over past crab island and the guide immediately spotted some dolphins which we gently followed for a bit before he led us through the pass into the gulf. We had smooth seas or we may not have had the opportunity to ski the gulf. Once beyond the pass we cruised west of the pass and had no luck so he led us across the pass to the east of the inlnet and there we found several dolphins. Also spied a large shark cruising the bottom! We traveled a little farther east and found a group of dolphins frolicking in the surf - probably half a dozen. The dolphins were active and we were in their midst when a pair jumped out of the water right across the bow of the guide's jet ski! What a memorable experience, not only to see the dolphins in the wild but to cruise the open gulf! Highly recommend this experience. In fact, while waiting for the guide before launch, two of the attendants asked who we were waiting on and both commented how much they enjoy doing the dolphin tours. Easily my favorite experience of our trip to Destin/Fort Walton.

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Waverunner Dolphin Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Destin.
How much does Waverunner Dolphin Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $189 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Destin usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Waverunner Dolphin Tour take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Destin is not rushed.
Is Waverunner Dolphin Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Destin, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Waverunner Dolphin Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Waverunner Dolphin Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Waverunner Dolphin Tour?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Destin can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Destin and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Waverunner Dolphin Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Destin within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Destin?
+
Destin sells time on the water: pontoon and catamaran charters out of the harbour, dolphin cruises through Choctawhatchee Bay, snorkel trips to Crab Island and deep-sea fishing that leaves before sunrise. On Outty we rank every Destin experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Clear Kayaking Eco Adventure Tour in Marianna, Sunset Dolphin Cruise, Top Shelf Tikis Crab Island Adventure 3 hr. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Destin?
+
March to May and September to October, when Gulf water is warm and crowds thin. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Destin?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
