What you'll see and do
Museum of King Jan III's Palace at Wilanow
Less than 10 kilometers from the center of Warsaw, there is the magnificent The Royal Palace of King Jan III Sobieski. The origins of the palace date back to 1677, although in time it became a magnificent villa surrounded by phantasmal gardens because subsequent owners expanded the palace. Today, the Palace is a work of art, fantastic gardens, and sculptures in the park, as well as magnificent buildings and monuments. The residence has kept traces of former residents, their interests and customs, as well as a collection of artworks that they gathered here. A museum is a place of remembrance about events that are part of the history of Warsaw. Traveling to this amazing place allows us to touch what is important in our tradition and what is part of the common European culture. In the winter, mapping shows take place on the buildings – in the summer concerts and interesting temporary exhibitions.

Old Town
A remarkable place, definitely a must-see for all the people visiting the Polish capital. The Old Town consists of the city square, surrounded by characteristic tenements, and a centrally placed fountain with a sculpture of a Siren, the city symbol, without which the square would be hard to imagine. Other elements of the Old Town are the Castle Square with the Royal Castle next to it and the Sigismund’s Column. Not far from the Old Town one can find the Pilsudski Square and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. A series of streets called the Royal Route begins from the Old Town. The Royal Route is the most prominent artery of the city, connecting two former royal residences. There are numerous atmospheric cafes, restaurants and art galleries in the Old Town

A magnificently beautiful baroque-classicist royal castle located at the Warsaw Castle Square. Initially, it was the residence of Mazovian princes and from the 16th c. on – the seat of the First Polish Republic’s ruling bodies: the King and the Sejm (the lower and upper houses of the parliament). In the 20s and 30s of the 20th c. it was the seat of the Chief of State and the residence of the President of the Republic of Poland. While visiting the Warsaw Royal Castle one can see e.g. the royal chambers built for king Stanisław August Poniatowski, as well as the Sejm chambers. The most outstanding ones are the Throne Room decorated with red velvet and gold, the Knight Room and the Ballroom with the biggest plafond in Poland. Among the permanent exhibitions are: the Paintings Gallery, the Apartment of Prince Joseph in the Tin-Roofed Palace and the multimedia exhibition „The destruction and rebuilding of the Castle”.

Amazing tour that was because of our tour guide Tomas….a knowledgeable, passionate and upbeat guy who taught us so much more than we ever would have learned going by ourselves !!! Their tour bus was broke down so Tomas took us in a smaller vehicle and he was able to give us more history and information in the car ride to the castle. Overall highly recommended!!!

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Warsaw Old Town with Royal Castle + Wilanów Palace: PRIVATE TOUR /inc. Pick-up/: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Warsaw.
How much does Warsaw Old Town with Royal Castle + Wilanów Palace: PRIVATE TOUR /inc. Pick-up/ cost?
+
Prices start at $191 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Warsaw usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Warsaw Old Town with Royal Castle + Wilanów Palace: PRIVATE TOUR /inc. Pick-up/ take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Warsaw is not rushed.
Is Warsaw Old Town with Royal Castle + Wilanów Palace: PRIVATE TOUR /inc. Pick-up/ worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Warsaw, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Warsaw Old Town with Royal Castle + Wilanów Palace: PRIVATE TOUR /inc. Pick-up/?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Warsaw Old Town with Royal Castle + Wilanów Palace: PRIVATE TOUR /inc. Pick-up/ suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Warsaw Old Town with Royal Castle + Wilanów Palace: PRIVATE TOUR /inc. Pick-up/?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Warsaw can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Warsaw and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Warsaw Old Town with Royal Castle + Wilanów Palace: PRIVATE TOUR /inc. Pick-up/ start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Warsaw within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Warsaw?
+
On Outty we rank every Warsaw experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Discover the Dark Side of Warsaw in Praga District by Retro Bus, Private Tour: Warsaw City Sightseeing by Retro Fiat, Warsaw for WWII Buffs - private tour with hotel pickup. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Warsaw?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Warsaw?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
