Warriors and Wilderness Tour
Fantastic experience. Our guide, Stuart, was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. He went above & beyond to make sure we had a great tour. Easy pick up and drop off at our hotel. Despite poor weather, we had a wonderful time. Highly recommended. Ask for Stuart. He’s the best!
Response from the operator: Dear L, Thank you so much for this wonderful review, it genuinely made us smile! We'll absolutely pass on your kind words to Stuart, though we have a feeling his head might get just a little bigger after reading "He's the best!" and we wouldn't have it any other way! He truly is one of a kind, and it's always wonderful to hear when guests feel that extra care and knowledge he brings. And as for the Scottish weather... we like to think it just adds to the atmosphere! We're so glad it didn't dampen the experience. Thank you for recommending us, and we hope to welcome you back to Scotland again soon! Warmly, Beryl and the TRIPorganiser team 🏴

To hear that a day with Stuart was the best of your entire trip is just wonderful, and to have made such a milestone day truly unforgettable is everything we could hope for. That's not something we take lightly. Stuart will be so touched to read this. His passion for the history and landscapes of Scotland shines through in everything he does, and it sounds like he gave you both exactly the day you deserved. We hope Scotland holds a special place in your anniversary memories for years to come, and that we get to welcome you back one day! Warmly, Beryl and the TRIPorganiser team 🏴

Absolutely Incredible - Highlight of our Trip - Stuart Watt A++
We cannot say enough great things about Stuart Watt. This was hands down the best experience of our entire trip. We were traveling with our two boys (ages 8 and 11), and to get them excited we even watched a few scenes from Braveheart beforehand. Nothing could have prepared us for how much they would love this day. Stuart was absolutely incredible with them. From the moment we started, he had them completely engaged with his storytelling, humor, and ability to bring Scottish history to life. They loved every single minute and are still talking about it. Stuart struck the perfect balance of being professional, friendly, and genuinely engaging. He was flexible, never rushed us, and made the entire day feel effortless. His knowledge is outstanding, but what really sets him apart is how real and personal he makes the experience. This never felt like a scripted tour. One of the absolute highlights was when he went out of his way to find Highland coos for the kids. That moment alone made their day and is something we’ll always remember. It’s that level of care and attention that makes Stuart truly exceptional. If you’re even thinking about booking a private tour, do it...and ask for Stuart. You will not regret it.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing such a fantastic review of your day on Warriors & Wilderness: Braveheart & Stirlingshire Day Trip. We’re absolutely delighted to hear that your experience with Stuart was the highlight of your trip, especially for your family. It’s wonderful that your boys connected so strongly with his storytelling, humor, and the way he brought Scottish history to life throughout the day. We’re especially glad the search for Highland coos created such a memorable moment for the kids—that’s exactly the kind of personal touch we love to deliver. It’s great to hear that your inspiration from Braveheart and your visit through Stirlingshire made the experience even more engaging and meaningful. Thank you again for your kind words and recommendation. We truly appreciate it, and we hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable experience in the future.

TRIPorganiser and Sean:Warriors for tourists!
Sean and TRIPorganiser provided us with an amazing tour, tailored to the interests of our family. Sean was knowledgeable, humorous, and absolutely wonderful. We learned so much and he kept our 10 and 12 year olds absorbed along with the adults. In between stops, he was a fascinating conversationalist, telling stories and giving us facts about so many things. Our trip to Scotland was certainly enriched by this tour. Thank you, Sean!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful review, it really means a lot to us! I’m so glad to hear that the day worked so well for all of you, and especially that both the adults and your 10 and 12 year olds were fully engaged throughout 😊 It’s fantastic to hear how much you enjoyed not just the sites, but also the stories and conversations along the way. That balance is something we really care about, making the journey just as memorable as the destinations themselves. I’ll make sure your kind words are passed on to Sean, he’ll be absolutely delighted. Thank you again for being such lovely guests, and we’re so happy your time in Scotland was enriched by the tour. All the very best, Beryl · TRIPorganiser Scotland

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Warriors & Wilderness: Braveheart & Stirlingshire Day Trip: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Edinburgh.
How much does Warriors & Wilderness: Braveheart & Stirlingshire Day Trip cost?
+
Prices start at $1 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Edinburgh usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Warriors & Wilderness: Braveheart & Stirlingshire Day Trip take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Edinburgh is not rushed.
Is Warriors & Wilderness: Braveheart & Stirlingshire Day Trip worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 38 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Edinburgh, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Warriors & Wilderness: Braveheart & Stirlingshire Day Trip?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Warriors & Wilderness: Braveheart & Stirlingshire Day Trip suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Warriors & Wilderness: Braveheart & Stirlingshire Day Trip?
+
Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Edinburgh can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Edinburgh and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Warriors & Wilderness: Braveheart & Stirlingshire Day Trip start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Edinburgh within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Edinburgh?
+
On Outty we rank every Edinburgh experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Edinburgh: Loch Ness, Glencoe and The Highlands, Edinburgh: Glenfinnan Viaduct, Glencoe & Fort William, Edinburgh Ghost Tour: Mysteries, Legends and Murders. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Edinburgh?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Edinburgh?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
