Kayaking, Siteseeing and Exploring !
Charlie and Connor picked 4 of us up from the visitors center, right on time. Charlie took us kayaking to an island where we explored bunkers from WW II, seen amazing views, held starfish, watched a sea lion, and just an all around great time!! Charlie has an awesome personality and very knowledgeable of everything we went and seen! Would definitely do it again!

Amazing, Safe, Beautiful!
Charlie was absolutely amazing! My best friend and I booked the War Bunkers and Wildlife kayaking tour, and it was one of the highlights of our Alaska trip. I had never kayaked before, but Charlie was patient, encouraging, and made me feel completely comfortable and safe. He shared fascinating history about Sitka and the WWII bunkers while giving us plenty of time to enjoy the scenery and wildlife. The entire experience felt personal, relaxed, and unforgettable. If I ever make it back to Sitka, I will absolutely book another tour with Charlie. Highly recommend!

Beautiful kayaking, fascinating WWII history, and an excellent guide!
Our kayaking adventure with SEAK Adventures was one of the highlights of our visit to Sitka. The coastal scenery was beautiful, and kayaking provided a unique way to experience Alaska's natural beauty up close. Our guide, Charlie, was outstanding. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area, local wildlife, and the history of Sitka. Throughout the tour, he shared fascinating information that made the experience much more than just a kayaking trip. One of the unexpected highlights was learning about the area's World War II history. The bunkers we visited were very interesting, and Charlie did a great job explaining their significance and the role Sitka played during that time. It was a part of Alaska's history we knew very little about and enjoyed learning. Charlie was friendly, engaging, and a joy to kayak with. His passion for the area was obvious, and he made everyone feel comfortable on the water. If you're visiting Sitka, we highly recommend SEAK Adventures. Between the stunning scenery, the fascinating history, and Charlie's excellent guiding, it was a memorable and worthwhile excursion.

How long does War Bunkers and Wildlife Kayak Tour in Sitka, Alaska take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sitka is not rushed.
Is War Bunkers and Wildlife Kayak Tour in Sitka, Alaska worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sitka, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule War Bunkers and Wildlife Kayak Tour in Sitka, Alaska?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is War Bunkers and Wildlife Kayak Tour in Sitka, Alaska suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book War Bunkers and Wildlife Kayak Tour in Sitka, Alaska?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sitka can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sitka and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does War Bunkers and Wildlife Kayak Tour in Sitka, Alaska start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sitka within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Sitka?
+
Sitka runs sea otter and whale quest boats, bear and raptor rescue centre visits, Tongass rainforest hikes, kayak paddles through the islands and Russian colonial history walks. On Outty we rank every Sitka experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include PREMIUM Sitka Scenic Tour, Best of Sitka Land Tour / Bears, Raptors, Totems, Sitka Whale Watching & Wildlife Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Sitka?
+
May to September. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Sitka?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
