The Taulichusco monument is located in the landscape of Santa Rosa next to the municipality of Lima. It was inaugurated in 1985. The monument consists of a 14-ton "Wanka" stone. A wanka is an elongated vertical stone considered sacred with great symbolism and importance in the Andean worldview.

The Santo Domingo church is one of the most important historical monuments in Lima, Peru. Its construction dates back to the 16th century, when the Dominican friars arrived in the city and founded a convent in the place where the church is today. The church has beautiful colonial architecture and inside, you can admire numerous works of religious art and its impressive library that houses a collection of more than 25,000 ancient books and manuscripts, some of which date back to the 15th century.

Puente de Piedra
It was built in 1610 making it one of the oldest bridges in Peru. It was built during the mandate of Viceroy Juan de Mendoza y Luna, Marquis of Montesclaros. And until 1861 it was the only bridge in the city.

Casa de la Literatura Peruana
Home to the old train station, it owes its name to a Jesuit chapel called “Virgen de los Desamparados” built in 1630 and which was in this space. This new building that we see is from 1913 and was at one time a train station. Since 2009, the House of Peruvian Literature has been operating here, a cultural center that belongs to the Ministry of Education. Every year this place is visited by more than 360 thousand people, many of them make use of its library called Mario Vargas Llosa, one of the most striking cultural spaces in the city.

Museo de Sitio Bodega y Quadra
The sailor and explorer Juan Francisco De La Bodega y Quadra, colonizer of Vancouver Island, lived here. The museum is divided into 7 rooms where you can see images, excavations and artifacts of daily use in the viceregal and republican times.

Museo Convento San Francisco y Catacumbas
The Church and Convent of San Francisco was built in the 16th century, shortly after the founding of Lima by Francisco Pizarro in 1535. The church itself is a testament to colonial architectural splendor. Its façade presents an impressive combination of carved stone details and a large baroque style doorway. The convent has a cloister that is a haven of tranquility and a beautiful example of colonial architecture. However, the highlight is found underground: the catacombs that served as a cemetery during colonial times. Thousands of people were buried here, and walking through the narrow, gloomy hallways is a truly unique experience.

Parque de la Muralla
One of the most emblematic parks in Lima is the Parque de la Muralla, a place that presents in its facilities a fragment of what was once the ancient wall of Lima. The old Lima wall was built during the Colonial era, during the 17th century and had the objective of protecting the city against possible attack by pirates or armies.
