Great cultural and historical tour of old Dubai.

Our guide, Shahzad, was very knowledgeable and kind. He explained the culture and history with great detail. The tour was amazing. We loved old Dubai. The water taxi was a lot of fun and souk shopping was everything I hoped for. Highly recommend booking this tour with Shahzad! Thank you for great experience.

A perfect way to experience traditional Dubai

Well constructed tour taking in the older parts of Dubai giving an insight into how and why the futuristic City it now is has evolved. Our guide Abdullah found just the right balance between explaining the historic and cultural context and not overloading us with too many dates and names. Experiencing the traditional gold and spice souks was a perfect contrast to the malls & high rise buildings across town. Both the tour itself and our particular guide come highly recommended.

Uncomfortable experience as a solo female traveller

As a woman who came on the tour solo and by chance ended up being the only guest who booked that day, I didn’t feel comfortable throughout the experience due to my tour guide (Muhammad Mazher). Between his frequent touching of his crotch, leering at my body, and nose picking, I felt very uncomfortable. I would not recommend this tour to any other women travelling solo.

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Camara Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are truly sorry to hear that you felt uncomfortable during your tour. Your safety, comfort, and peace of mind are always our top priorities, especially for our solo female travelers. We have successfully hosted many solo women, families, and group tours over the years, and we take great pride in maintaining a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for every guest. We sincerely apologize if at any point you felt unsafe or uneasy. Your feelings are important to us, and we take such concerns very seriously. Regarding our guide, Muhammad Mazher, he has been working in the tourism industry for over 17 years and is known for being a decent, respectful, and professional guide. However, we understand that your experience did not reflect this, and we are committed to looking into this matter carefully to ensure this does not happen again. We are deeply sorry for the discomfort you experienced, and we never want any guest to leave with such feelings. If you wish to request a refund, please feel free to file a claim through your booking platform. Once we receive the refund request from them, we will immediately approve it. We believe in charging for happiness, not discomfort. Thank you once again for bringing this to our attention. We truly value your feedback and hope we get the opportunity to serve you better in the future. Warm regards, Malik

Amazing

Me and my friend had the Honor to have Sagheer Hassan as our guide and it was nothing less than memorable and mind blowing. From the history of Dubai to the millions of questions he made us feel so welcomed to ask. If there was a way to request a guide, I would tell you to request Hassan a million times over, his hospitality, kindness and overall care for his guest were unmatched. This made our first time in Dubai a dream. Thank you again Hassan, it was a pleasure to meet you and…Agli dafa milte hain!

Walk in Old Dubai with New Friend(Pickup option Availabl): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dubai.

How much does Walk in Old Dubai with New Friend(Pickup option Availabl) cost?

+

Prices start at $20 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dubai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Walk in Old Dubai with New Friend(Pickup option Availabl) take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dubai is not rushed.

Is Walk in Old Dubai with New Friend(Pickup option Availabl) worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 37 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dubai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Walk in Old Dubai with New Friend(Pickup option Availabl)?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Walk in Old Dubai with New Friend(Pickup option Availabl) suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Walk in Old Dubai with New Friend(Pickup option Availabl)?

+

Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dubai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dubai and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Walk in Old Dubai with New Friend(Pickup option Availabl) start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dubai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Dubai?

+

On Outty we rank every Dubai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dubai Premium Red Dunes Safari, Camels & 5* BBQ at Al Khayma Camp, Dubai: Red Dunes Safari, Quad, Camel, Dune Bash, BBQ & Shows, Dubai Dune Buggy Safari Tour in Red Dunes Options. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Dubai?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Dubai?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
