A beautiful day
A wonderful experience at sea; to begin our journey, we saw dolphins (many) following our boat (jumping and twrilling. While snorkeling we saw large turtles, exotic fish, and a seal. Many happy moments. I would recommend this tour for anyone who wants to snorkel or simply experience the warm water.of Hawaii.

Team Lola!! Captain Ty (maybe Kai), Natalia, Keilani, and Riley were great. Kept everyone safe and able to get those amazing shots of the sea turtles. Tide was strong and said we were all doing great. I wish we could have stayed out longer. Thank for this great experience! Mahalo!!!

Wonderful Crew, Beautiful Day, Crowded Waters
We had an amazing morning snorkeling with the honu's (Hawaiian green sea turtles) at Turtle Canyon with Honolulu Snorkel Company. The crew made the experience exceptional. Captain Jeff was the quiet one, but he was constantly aware of everything happening around him. His calm presence made everyone feel safe throughout the trip. The skipper Ryley was the funny, whimsical personality of the group. She was an excellent communicator, delivering the safety briefing with humor while making it very clear when everyone needed to listen. She kept everyone smiling and laughing. Once we anchored, she remained on the surfboard keeping watch over our group and making sure everyone stayed together. The skipper Natalia was, without question, the hardest-working crew member. Her knowledge of the ocean was impressive. She handled all the manual work—preparing the equipment, guiding our group safely in the water, pointing out the turtles, and then cleaning everything up afterward. Her energy, wonderful smile and dedication did not go unnoticed. The only downsides had nothing to do with the crew. Although the tour is two hours long, we were only in the water for about 45 minutes.:( Also, Turtle Canyon was extremely crowded with other tour boats, making the snorkeling area feel congested. At times, people were bumping into one another, and the water was murkier than expected because of the heavy tourist traffic and you couldn't see the fish or honu clearly. :( Despite those two drawbacks, they were beyond Honolulu Snorkel Company’s control. The crew was professional, friendly, safety-conscious, and made the experience memorable. I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to snorkel with Hawaii’s beautiful honu's.

Why this scores 78
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Waikiki Snorkel Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Oahu.
How much does Waikiki Snorkel Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Oahu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Waikiki Snorkel Tour take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Oahu is not rushed.
Is Waikiki Snorkel Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 261 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Oahu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Waikiki Snorkel Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Waikiki Snorkel Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Waikiki Snorkel Tour?
+
Around 91 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Oahu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Oahu and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Waikiki Snorkel Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Oahu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Oahu?
+
On Outty we rank every Oahu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Oahu: Full or Half Day Grand Circle Island Tour, Oahu Small-Group Circle Island Tour with Turtle Snorkeling, Pearl Harbor Remembered Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Oahu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Oahu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
